Location and convenience

I have a few issues with this place. First of all, when I signed up for my pet stay online the night before, the website total with the $50 a night fee plus tax was $169.50, however, as I tried to check in via the link sent, I was informed my total was much higher than $169.50, it had jumped to $236.17 to be exact. When I questioned the woman on the phone about the price jump, I was informed it was "sales tax and a 9 dollar resort fee".... tax of $19.50 was already included on the pet fee so I was absolutely confused as to why I would be charged THREE TIMES for tax adding an extra $66.67 to my bill, as I was also charged tax when I pre-paid on hotels.com as well. Never received a response from her. If that was enough, the floors were absolutely disgusting (even after we swept them) and the shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. They charge you an extra $25 dollars for any dishes left in the sink by you but then leave an envelope on the counter expecting a tip for a "housekeeping" service they state on the back of your door, that they don't offer daily. Parking also sucked out loud. Tiny lot and if you moved your car, it was almost guaranteed you'd have to park in the extra lot across the street. Honestly, outside of the porch and beach access, this place isn't worth your time. There are plenty of other places in the area I would look at and consider first before staying here again. I'd add the photos for proof but it's not letting me currently.

Great hotel. Lived the view and quiet.

First time to the area. Although there's not an office staffed all day, management is very responsive.

No one ever called me back with the room # which I needed. So Im just upset

Easy check in, easy check out. Beautiful views, easy access. Super friendly staff, location is ideal. We will be back!

Convenient, quiet, nice surroundings...

It’s was nice and everything was with in walking distance, our only complaints would be the shower doors acted like they were going to fall off .

The Beach House is in a great location on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and things to do. The room was very clean and roomy. The app worked well for check-in, any issues I had, and check-out. Staff were friendly, prompt and very helpful with any issues I had.

This was a fine place to stay for the price. Having never been to Carolina Beach, we had no idea that the dunes are so high that you cannot see the ocean unless you are several floors above ground level. Also, the room had a kitchenette which was nice but there was no couch. It was sparsely outfitted. There were also problems with their method for allowing entry as their computer program was not working. We also had someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night who was told this was their room.
