This hotel really is very close to Takayama Station and I am very happy that we got allocated a room on the top floor! We stayed in the Grand Twin Room. The room was so roomy! We also had a nice view. And it was very nice to hear the 5pm chime again. We forgot what that was about. The hotel staff explained that it is played to remind people to go home. How nice. And I read that it is also a way to test the town's disaster warning system. As for the buffet breakfast, it has a Bed & Breakfast feel to it. So has the dining area. Of all the buffet breakfasts I had on this trip, this was my favourite. The small sweet bread roll and the potato croquettes were just so yummy!

Great location at walking distance from the train station and restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable. My only complain is about the breakfast. Very poor options for westerns. Basically only bread and bacon. No fruits, no yogurt, not even scramble eggs. For 1,800¥ I expected much better. We ended up paying 1,000¥ just across the street.

Front desk staff were friendly, warm and very helpful in helping us send boxes of omiyage to our hotel in Asakusa. They worked with the Asakusa staff in finding my reservation to ensure Asakusa staff would accept and hold my boxes until I return there.

"Convenient location "

Stayed over for 3 nights. Room was spacious and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Complaints were dealt with immediately. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Location was great, very near station with convenience stores nearby. Other than restaurants, the area is rather quiet with no shopping malls.
