Charbonnier Motor Inn

Beautiful foyer area. Everything clearly displayed. Welcoming reception. I booked very late in the afternoon due to some unexpected things that occurred earlier in the day. I was very happy with my choice, even though it was recommended by family who only live around the corner, and have stayed there lots of times.

Unmarked parking around the back for motor homes and campers. I was grateful I could park my camper there but as I arrived late I wasn’t entirely sure where I was meant to park it. Plus, there was no lighting around the back of the building for safety.

Great place to stay when we travelled to the Hunter. Room was clean and tidy. The staff were also welcoming and great.

There was nothing that we didn’t like

Tennis courts racquets and balls provided

We enjoyed the location as we were there taking our elderly friend to the Singleton Army Infantry Museum as he us a Veteran. The room was on the low level which was good but then it went down wards.

Upon arrival about 2.45pm had to ring for Jewels to come from their residence, saying it was her nap time ???When arriving at our rooms windows were fully open and the room hot,we closed everything and put on air-conditioning for a rest due to travel. There were laundry bags in hallway and mop and bucket but no one around?? When we arrived back from dinner we noticed a odour in rooms and had to leave the bathroom light/fan on all night with door closed. Didn't want to ring late to complain will let them know in morning. We purchased breakfast with our accommodation, but found out on Sunday morning it was closed and a continental was served upstairs. This was a small room no help or cleaning or explanation???We we not the only people disgusted in this and no one at reception. Have taken photos of room and breakfast. This is not acceptable as we found out there is textra writing above breakfast menu and not explained but in our rooms the original??The photos on their site is not reflective of the actual expectations and what we encountered. Have taken more photos of room motel.
