Windmill Motel & Events Centre

We've stayed here a few times and it is consistently good - the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food was awesome.

Musty smell in room, out side side areas poorly maintained. Restaurant menu didn’t have some basic meal options

Close to Bruce Highway. Nothing flash, just your average motel, but perfect for an overnight stop. Room was clean and comfortable. Swimming pool was nice to cool down in too.

One cockroach running around, but I guess that's a common thing for Australia this time of year.

We stay at the Windmill when we go to Mackay and always find it to be great value for money. it is located close to medical and shopping facilities, but is quiet and has a lovely area outside, backing onto park and ponds. A tennis court and swimming pool keep the grandkids happy. We use both the clean and comfortable family rooms and couple rooms, depending how many of us are visiting. We are always welcomed warmly and enjoy a delicious dinner at the family friendly restaurant. Thanks for another enjoyable stay, made easier with early book in and other helpful gestures as this time we were in Mackay for medical reasons. Much appreciated.
