Que se fue la luz, y estuvimos un tiempo sin, pero dentro de lo que cabe, estuvimos bajando y subiendo por las escaleras, para podernos informar de algo, las luces de emergencia de fuera de las habitaciones funcionaron correctamente, aunque fui al coche a buscar la baliza para la habitación, porque no había ninguna luz de emergencia dentro.

The location was beautiful but then I was told by my Spanish workmates that Aravaca is indeed one of the most affluent areas in Madrid, so that explained a lot. The set-up of multiple restaurants downstairs set up like a food market was lovely. Room was comfortable, clean and cosy.

Only issue was that the room didn't have air conditioning (I think) and as someone who doesn't deal well with even moderate heat (which is what we were experiencing in Madrid for the three days of my stay), I do need it. It may have been that I couldn't find the function for it on the thermostat (it didn't seem to have the 'snowflake' to activate cooling) but it began to get cooler as the night went on so I just left it. Just a small issue for my stay, not a complaint.
