Madison Manor Boutique Hotel

Lovely building. Great location for accessing public transit. Huge pub within the establishment that has good food. The staff we encountered were friendly, courteous.

Our a/c unit didn’t seem to be working but our room was in a shaded area (main floor, on the south side, looking into the clean alley) so slanting open the windows aired the room effectively.

The location was ok for our needs, it was close to the subway.

Parking was limited, fortunately we had a plug in car so we were able to take the only spot left which was for an electric car. The room was hot, we could not turn down the temperature. The bed is old, the bed springs would make noise every time we moved.

Room not as advertised....was supposed to have a fireplace and paid extra. Asked for an early checkin and was not granted access until 3pm The unbelievable ruckus and noise outside our window went on until past 3 a.m Friday and Saturday night Would not recommend or stay again

When we went to the rooftop restaurant we were completely ignored by th waitress and ended up leaving

the location was good + the pub hotel is a nice concept

I don't like writing a negative review because overall I enjoyed the place and like the concept of a pub/hotel but If you have a room that looks onto the rear pub alley forget about sleeping through the night. I come from noisy downtown Montreal and already sleep with earplugs but the pub noise at closing was beyond belief. There was a group of 7-8 people speaking for 15-20 minutes very loudly ( one of them was even climbing the wall next to the pub terrace while yelling). It was absolutely impossible to sleep through this and I was wearing excellent earplugs. Of course - my night (Monday night) could have been an exception - perhaps other days of the week are better but seriously clients should have these rooms at half price AND be told they will wake up at pub closing. I'd still try it again if I was sure NOT to have a room next to the rear pub alley.

The location is great and the staff was really nice!

There was no air conditioning so it got quite hot at night. The pub next door is quite loud with music too but we actually liked that. It might be a red flag for people who can't handle some nightlife noises.

Location was great

It was very loud especially on weekend nights you are essentially on the other side of the wall from a live band. Great music but definitely affects sleep. The sheets in my room were dirty and stained with a couple of blood drops.

El personal fue muy agradable, especialmente al llegar e irme ya que me ayudaron con las maletas. Los colchones son cómodos, había wifi, tv y el agua caliente funciona bien. Las habitaciones son amplias. Además, pude dejar las maletas en recepción tras el check out hasta recogerlas más tarde en el mismo dia, lo cual fue útil.

Esta situado al lado de las fraternidades y de un pub, cosa que si vienes de otro país seguramente no sepas. Esto hizo que jueves y viernes noche hubiera bastante ruido. La parte positiva es que el hotel proporcionaba tapones, que me ayudaron a poder dormir el resto de noches. Sin embargo, tras la noche del jueves, y ver el ruido y comments, le pregunté al staff si habia alguna otra habitación disponible que fuese a tener algo menos de ruido por la noche y la respuesta fue que estaban fully booked, lo cual no era cierto ya que yo desde booking podia coger hasta 4 opciones de habitaciones. Hubiese agradecido empatía en ese aspecto ya que los que venimos de fuera no tenemos porqué saber que el ruido va a afectar tanto a la noche, y podrían haberme ofrecido otra habitación o incluso reembolso, o quizás haber avisado de este aspecto puesto que son muchos los comentarios que lo mencionan. Por otro lado, no tiene ascensor. El pub está muy chulo y hacen diferentes actividades, si te hospedas en otro lugar para poder descansar, yo recomendaria tomarse algo en el pub. El pub por cierto no abre hasta las 11 de la mañana, por tanto el desayuno recomiendo cogerlo en otro sitio. Gracias por su atención.
