Marien Puerto Plata - All Inclusive

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at this resort and enjoyed it. The beach was nice but the conditions were "red flagged" and we couldn't go in the ocean. The swimming pool was extensive and very clean. Our room was dated but clean, the beds were harder. The meals were tasty but a little repetitive in the buffet. The Mexican and Brazilian restaurants were really good. It was lovely not having to make reservations for them. The resort as a whole was well maintained.

The resort bands were cloth with long "tails" that dragged into everything...not so sanitary.

Pas de WIFI dans la chambre ni sur la terrasse de la chambre. Pas de réseau 4G non plus dans la chambre. Fuite d'eau au plafond du couloir. Une flaque d'eau en permanence au milieu du couloir. Pas de chaise au bureau de la chambre. Pas pu se servir de la baignoire car la bonde ne ferme pas. Un ensemble vraiment décevant pour un établissement de ce standing.Nous demandons une remise sur la somme payée.

Big and clean pool, well organized entertaintments supervized by Diomedes with professional team and dancers, clean rooms, good food at the main restaurant and a la carte. We really feeled like in the good location to spent our holydays.

The pool and staff were amazing. Also loved the mexican.

I didnt like the pushiness of the shop owners or some of the prices

Check in rápido. Personal siempre dispuesto a solucionar. Variedad y calidad de la comida. Distribución del baño de la habitación. Gimnasio. La comida del Restaurante Mylos.

Ubicación del hotel en el mapa de Booking no corresponde. Falta mantenimiento: Algunas zonas se ven viejas. No hay señalización para área de fumadores, lo cual es muy incómodo porque había varias zonas que considero públicas (como la recepción o cerca al restaurante) donde me encontraba con personas fumando. Tiempo que hay que esperar desde que lo ubican en la mesa hasta que sirven la comida en el restaurante Mylos.

I don't know when the 4 star rating were given, however this in NOT a 4 star hotel or resort. The location was great, the beach was kept clean and the waters were great however not the rooms. First night the toilet overflowed, used the phone to contact the front desk and all lines were busy, including housekeeping. They sent a maintenance individual over and he just flushed the toilet and walked away. The next day this happened twice, results were a cracked tank, the fix putting towels down around the toilet! The room looked ok as long as you didn't need to go out on the patio, the doors didn't open and were no longer attached to the frame. Staff were very friendly but very few spoke English, making it hard to explain the problems and getting another room. The food was hit and miss, most times it was ok, nothing to brag about. Selections were ok. I would never recommend this resort to any of my friends and family, unless I never wanted to speak with them again!

Good afternoon, my husband and I stayed at your resort from February 11 to the 25. Upon departing, our housekeeper handed us a business card, I'll sure she thought that it would be to provide feedback about her exceptional care. Instead when I used the QR code, I found that it was the LinkedIn profile for the resort. How absolutely disappointing. But I believe that she needs to be recognized despite the fact that she didn't understand the purpose of the card. The woman I speak of is Griselda a very important part to our vacation as well as your team. She was kind, thoughtful, deeply caring as well as a very hard worker. My husband and I were both ill and she was there for us. I don't know how we would have managed without her. Because we were ill and spent 75% of our vacation on our balcony, she made sure to see that we were supplied with everything that would make our stay more pleasant. Despite the condition that we were in, she went about her job without complaint. Please see that this woman receives the recognition that she deserves.
