Quality Inn & Suites Big Rapids near University

Dirty room, surprised we didn’t see bugs. The room stunk like smoke despite being a non-smoking room.

Great place to stay if passing through. Convenient and accessible. Staff was great. Breakfast was good with plenty of people gathering in dining room for friendly chatter. Seemed very cozy. Thank you.

Very clean room

Breakfast was ok, check in was good, it was quiet and beds were very comfortable.

It was right next to a liquor store so frequent cars coming and going, pool had no water and the door was not safe the latch was loose, you couldn't see through the keyhole, you could see light through it and you could push the door like cardboard on the bottom. It did not feel safe Room #134

The premises were clean, but we could smell a lot of beer and marijuana.

Being a single traveler I appreciated the rate. It's at a great location to the university. I can certainly appreciate the upgrade of the facilities that the owner has done. I arrived late as a senior citizen. Some of these motels have upper levels without elevators. But upon arrival, the desk person accommodated me and I found the rooms exceptionally clean, stocked with towels, and very comfortable beds and very sufficient closets. The breakfast selections were above the norm. There were Hot items and especially liked the pancake machine that gave you very warm. Very tasty! Pancakes dollar size but perfect. They have an ample dining area and while I didn't have a chance to use the pool, it was very well kept pool and easy access. Unfortunately left some clothes behind and didn't realize it and called the location and got complete cooperation from the staff including the manager contacted me said he'd have pictures taken of what they found and they would mail the clothes back and then let me know what the cost was. I talked to the manager twice and his attention to detail and commitment to make sure everything was taken care of was stellar! A reason why you want to return to this kind of establishment! I can highly recommend this location. It's been updated. I had friends staying there in another part of the motel and their room had the same appointments with very thick mattresses and large size rooms. I really give it 10 Stars. Especially if you're visiting someone at the college. I highly recommend it
