Family, Romance, Fun on Kings Beach

Very clean apartment, has everything we need. Easy check in and check out. So close to the beach, abt 30mins drive to Australia Zoo and 15mins drive to Aussie World.

Kitchen light and remote control for the fans weren't working. It was a bit stuffy when you can't open the windows on a rainy night.

This apartment felt like a home away from home! A thoughtful space for families with everything you’d need on a holiday including enough dishwashing liquid and washing powder for a whole stay! Close to the beach, local shops, surf club and tavern. Beds were so comfy and property was very very clean, even the oven was nice and clean which made the stay more enjoyable for a mother who is forever cleaning as this stay was easy to maintain! Definitely would stay again.

The comms from the owners was good, very detailed and in good time. We had no questions and found the keys easily. It was clean, reasonably well equipped and nicely presented. The garage is small but I reversed my Suzuki Vitara in quite comfortably, good to have it off the street overnight. The Smart TV gives access to Netflix, free services, anything you're subscribed to (Prime, Disney etc).

The listing says: "The property is non-smoking and is located 300 metres from Kings Beach." The property also is described as "on Kings Beach" and with the photos and the description of "300m from the beach", you'd expect it's at least got beach glimpses. It doesn't. Then the listing says "A private entrance leads guests into the apartment". Not quite - the 'private entrance' is a shared entrance that leads to a steep staircase. We were travelling with an 84 yo with limited mobility who uses a walking frame. If there was any mention of steps in the listing description, we'd have known it wasn't suitable. The steps were a major barrier, and stopped us going in and out as we'd planned as they were difficult and painful for her to traverse. The angle of the photos of the pool and the beach led us to believe that the apartment was in a large complex with lift access - no mention that it's the public pool near the surf club. There's also no mention that the apartment seems to be an Air B'n'B - we prefer to not use them. Look closely at the photos to see that the view from the living area is another apartment block on one side, no photo of the view of the other side, which is the driveway of business premises. No issues with that, it is is what it is - but that's not what the listing description or the photos lead you to believe. The fridge buzzes all night, the aircon is very noisy, the sofa bed has a big gap between the two parts when it's folded out, the bathroom gets VERY wet when you shower because there's no shower door and no ventilation so condensation makes the floor slippery - we wouldn't let our 84yo have a shower there. There's no security or fly screening on the patio doors so you can't leave those open for fresh air if you're having a nap.

The location is perfect and the space had everything you could need.
