Hotel am Hoken

The hotel has an excellent location right in the center of the historic town, with everything within easy reach. Although the breakfast was served, it was very rich and tasty. I really appreciated the authentic atmosphere of the old building, which gave the stay a unique charm. Overall, a very pleasant accommodation with character.

There wasn’t really anything I disliked. However, if you expect a modern hotel with all the latest amenities, this is not the place for you. It’s more of a hygge-style environment, based on old furniture and the authenticity of the house itself. It’s truly an experience in its own right, though it may not suit everyone, especially if you don’t like climbing stairs.

Ein schönes gemütliches Hotel in einem Jahrhunderte alten Fachwerkhaus in bester Innenstadtlage, direkt am schönen Marktplatz. Tolles Frühstück.

Tolle Lage, super Frühstück, sehr freundliches Personal, uriges Ambiente. Man darf keine Probleme mit Treppen haben, sonst ist es wunderbar für einen Kurztripp.

Die Lage war super, mitten in der Stadt.

Leider hatten wir kein W-lan.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and has everything I need. The parking lot has enough spots, if only you can find the parking lot at first! It is recommended to ask the hotel staff before you arrive, then the staff will give you a very detailed instruction on how to drive to the parking lot, and how to walk 3 minutes to the hotel by a secret shortcut which is through an underpass surrounded by a beautiful timbered house! We are so lucky that we finally found the parking lot and the hotel. It is an amazing experience like playing an escape-room game! The overall conditions are decent. The location is good for us, which is close to the tourist attractions. The breakfast is fabulous! The staff drew a smiley on the boiled eggs! The price is reasonable and good value.

It would be better if the sign of the hotel near the parking lot, could be larger, and easy to see. Now it is very hard to find the sign even you are just standing 3 meters in front of it!

Wo soll man anfangen... Die genaue Wegbeschreibung des Parkplatzes erleichterte eine komplizierte Suche. Bei Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und durften unser Appartement etwas früher beziehen. Es war supergemütlich, penibel sauber und außerordentlich urig. Das Frühstück, am Tisch serviert, mit frisch gebrühten Kaffee/Tee, liebevoll angerichtete Aufschnitt- Käse- Obst und Gemüseplatte bei Kerzenlicht, ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auf Wunsch wurden frische Eierspeisen gereicht.

Wir waren begeistert!
