Villas Fa-Sol

Un hermoso lugar, muy tranquilo y con gente amable y servicial, solo un pequeño detalle inconveniente, la persona que preparaba los alimentos no llevaba cubre bocas algo que en estos tiempos de coronavirus es muy importante no descuidar. Todo lo demás muy bien.

El lugar es sumamente agradable y seguro, el personal muy amable y sus instalaciones estan limpias y sanitizadas y el volumen de huéspedes es bajo. Tiene su propia playa y es muy bonita. Sumamente recomendable.

The property is simply beautiful. Stunning views, a charming beach, amazing landscaping, and a lovely, refreshing pool made the outdoor surroundings delightful. The rooms (we had a mountain view for a week and an ocean view for another week) were spacious and comfortable. Staff was attentive and the breakfasts on the outdoor terrace were delicious. The air-conditioning made sleeping easy. Villas Fa-Sol is off the beaten path which was just what we wanted. People who want more activity, shopping, and variation in dining might find it too isolated. But taxis are inexpensive and convenient for getting to the rest of the Hautulco which offers a broad range of touristy things to do. We mostly stayed right on the property and another beach a short walk away because we were sure that nothing else out there could possibly be an improvement.

The property is fantastic on the outside ... ie. pools, sundecks, beach, views, everything. However the room ( junior suite) we were in needs a complete overhaul. Sink was cracked in numerous places, faucet/taps were dirty and ready to fall off, shower doors and fixture were old and need replacing, etc. Overall the stay was great, staff was great, sun was great, pools were great... but get back to the room and it was sub-standard.

We spent two weeks at Villa Fa Sol in the Pulpa Room, a jr. Suite. The views were incredible from our room (on the second floor, 48 steps) and everywhere in this truly beautiful hotel. Our room was very comfortable as was our king sized bed. The grounds were gorgeous. Lots of sitting areas with exquisite views. The breakfasts (included,) were delicious. And we so enjoyed Julio and Jordon who served us. We also ate some lunches here. We enjoyed the small pools, the beaches. One for sunning, the other for swimming. Gerardo and his son, Jordon, the managers were great, always helpful and friendly. We love the staff here. We particilarly enjoyed the boat tour of the bays that Jordon set up for us and the archeology museum. The hotel calls cabs which come in about 6 minutes.

I loved the place, the staff, the service and the view. However, even though they changed the sheets, at night, the bed was full of ants. I understand that there’s a lot of green around the villas, but with a proper protection on the door it could be fixed. The food wasn’t really good; once we had lunch there and the plate was enough but highly overpriced! The room was cleaned everyday but some areas weren’t, like the coffee machine, the filter was stained and we had to wash it and the cups to use it. If you are staying for more than 3 days I recommend getting something from the supermarket to eat there if you don’t want to go out and use a repellent at night. Other than that, it was pretty good.
