Bright & Spacious W/ Orange Tree Patio Apartment by TimeCooler

1. The only good thing is the location in the lower part of Alfama

1. The apartment does not remind the one on the photos - the photos must have been taken 15 years ago or / and photoshopped. 2. The place is dark, moldy, smelly and very dirty. There is mold and paint falling out in the rooms (especially two bedrooms and the living room, a lot of the equipment is broken and dirty/ sticky. The bathrooms are moldy too and not clean. There is a strange smell in the apartment, the smells comes also from the dishwasher - it’s so strong you don’t want to use it. 3. The floor is broken in many places, uneven and very dirty. Our soles were black after a few minutes of walking on this. 4. The dishes in the cupboards had leftovers after previous guests attached to them. 5. The patio was closed and we couldn’t find the keys - after we finally found them, it turned out the patio was a dirty space shared with other apartments. 6. We had to leave and find another location as we considered this one a health hazard. We had been living in Spain over several years and travelled an lot and we know the standards can differ, but this one was far below our expectations.

Apartment located in the Old Town of Lisbon, close to the metro / train station. Very big, great for 8 people (we were two separate families: 2 adults and 2 kids each), has two bathrooms and great patio with big orange tree. Very well equiped kitchen with all stuff needed for cooking. Good WiFi.

We loved the property, particularly the courtyard and bedrooms. Very clean and spacious. Great spot too.

Check in was at 3pm but the cleaner wasn’t finished until 4pm so we were waiting on the courtyard for a while.
