The Century House Latham - North Albany, an Ascend Collection Hotel

WE LIKED NOTHING, The place looked out of business from the road, parking lot was full of cracked pavement with parking hazard cones everywhere, the room was sub-par, furniture old, pillows mismatched, flat and old, felt creepy and did not want to even sit down on the furniture, we left instead of spending the night, the front entrance room had a flood, hazard signs were everywhere and the facility smelled dank like mold. Completely disappointed, I requested a full refund, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, STAY AT HOLIDAY INN NEXT DDOR.

Historic but fully updated building. (Except there is no elevator for upper floor)

The lighting of the driveway makes a bit difficult to.find the main entry (which is on the rear of the building)

Good location, pleasant staff

Facility was outdated and in need of major renovation. Wee were on the second floor and there is no elevator and had to drag suitcases upstairs.

Great outdoor pool, clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast that was included with our stay!

Friendly staff. Room was a good size. Comfortable beds and clean. Cute decor. Room had a mini fridge with freezer. Breakfast was tasty. Nice variety for breakfast; yogurt, fruit, nuts and granola, cereal and milk, eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, bread and muffins along with juice, coffee, tea and milk. I like that there was a pool available on the hot day we arrived.

I did not care for the long walk to the room from the parking lot.

Breakfast was Okay. Comparable to other hotels.

Room floor was sticky. Laminate floor rather than carpet in the bed area.

Pretty standard overall, no complaints, except they charged a different rate than the one on booking.com, which the receptionist at the front desk subsequently rectified

Location, view and breakfast

The breakfast man needs training on hygiene and health standards. He touches food to line it up in the pan/serving dish. Sure, he has gloves on, but that gloved hand also touched doors and non-food items. He should have used a utensil to do what he was doing.
