Breakers Resort Hotel

Location is good had walkable restaurants, Starbucks, ben jerrys, and souvenir shops. Short drive to Broadway and boardwalk.

For check in they need a better system for the cars waiting, when it gets alot, their half circle pull in is not enough. Their policy is supposedly daily change of towels and trash. For full room service you have to request 24hours in advance. They missed our room so we had full trash and dirty towels. When I called to check they acted like I was asking for the full service. I made it clear that I was not, that they skipped our room. Had to go down to get our own towels because the housing staff had already left, or they said I could put in a request... which defeats the purpose of daily trash and towel change. Sue at guest services said the manager (Brian? Brandon?) was apparently busy, so I wasn't going to wait on hold and waste vacation time to report it.

We stay at the breakers every visit to Myrtle beach. The location is perfect! The rooms are beautiful, renovated, clean and smell good! Very spacious and the housekeeping daily is great! Love all the pool options, and how close it is to everything. If I had to rate the buildings Sailfish is our favorite, then paradise, lastly the palms building. Great stay every time!

The only thing that bothered us was no workers keeping an eye on the pool areas. There was kids running wild and bothering people in the pools. Other than that nothing!

We Loved the location as it was walking distance from several restaurants and stores. They have a wonderful water park which pur grandchildren loved and the staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable.

No hot water in shower and no one even bothered to fix it.

Was told that check in was @ 4pm. Asked for and requested early check in to our room since I was going to to arrive early for meeting and meeting other people for other plans. Not only did I not get early check in but got checked in late. When I inquired about it I was treated rudely by staff and told that check in started at 4 and they didn't guarantee early check in, that they were busy and tried to get me in as early as they could. Very rude, gruff and short and condescending, not all the staff just one in particular...maybe he was just having a bad day. Wall lamp was MISSING from the wall and the heat lamp was burnt out in the bathroom, maintenance was called and replaced the heat lamp with a flood light.
