Apple Tree Inn Tyler Lindale

This was a last minute attempt at finding a place for the night. For what it's worth, it was decent. The AC worked and was not super loud but it was cold. The beds were comfy enough and the bathroom was adequate. Definitely not an inn but more of a motel. We did not stay for breakfast when we left since we were in a rush to leave. Overall, a decent night's rest if you are only looking for a stop while traveling. Clean and comfortable and easy access from the freeway.

The office wasn't open when we arrived. We had to talk through a speaker as the office was closed off. Not a good sign for what to expect. The television was small and there wasn't much of a selection. There was a hint of smoke even though the unit was a non-smoking unit.

The owner was great. He gave us ways around the city to avoid traffic

It was a clean and kept property.

The surfaces were clean, but there were several spider webs in the corners of the room. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay. The mattresses do need to be updated. They were a bit hard and you can feel the springs, maybe mattress toppers would improve the comfort of the mattress.

I moved my mom into a room after a storm knocked out power for thousands of people. She is on oxygen and uses a cpap. The hotel was packed! But the super nice man there helped us get parked and took good care of us. They were so kind and put mom in a room on the 1st floor since she can't do stairs. This is a no frills place than was perfect for our needs! I am so pleased.

The room itself was okay for the most part. The two big issues I had were the following... 1. There was beard trimming or something of the sort on the shower wall, indicating it had not been cleaned from the previous tenant and the shower was nearing ankle deep water by the end of my shower. 2.The charging outlet was on the opposite side of the room, meaning I had to get up everytime someone contacted me for work while I was waiting for my phone to charge. Aside from that, the bed was nice, the ac worked well, and the shower ran warm. Unfortunately those were 2 glaring issues that really affected my stay

The staff

The hotel was clean, it was right off of interstate 20! It was 15.00 a night for Fred! (Our puppy). There was plenty of grass for him to go potty at! And during the night it was well lit for potty time! The house keepers was supper! And for the eclipse we sat in the parking lot and watch it!

The hotel is an old hotel! There is no balcony on the bottom floor which was a very big disappointment! We got a non smoking room and the bedspread had burn marks all over it! They are still on COVID standards where you can’t go into the office! The breakfast is a joke, They shouldn’t even say they have breakfast! Booking have me a price and then they charged me another and I paid for a balcony but didn’t have 1.
