GBHotel placed in nice quiet village just outside the centre of derby, staff were always friendly free use of spa services for any guests. Rooms huge and clean reception area lovely just a few little bits that let it down
Room was clean but sink and bath both had stains large bed is 2 beds together with a quilt over the top so could feel the join in the bed we paid for guaranteed balcony please note these aren't really usable and if we knew probably would of risked having one or not no seating on it so can't sit out and have a coffee or drink expected no smoking but did think would be usable. Pool sides and round edging on restaurant needs a good clean all dirt n dead flys etc built up, changing rooms to pool really slippery could do with mats down
IEGBThe hotel room was brilliant for whatever needed. There were 4 of us; 2 adults and 2 kids (12 and 14). It was a great size and allowed us all to have some personal space - it wasn’t just a ‘bed’ room. Having access to a pool and gym was the main selling point for us, and despite it also being ‘tired’ it was a nice touch.
You can tell that in its day this hotel would’ve been lovely, but unfortunately its day was probably a good 10-15 years ago. It is in serious need of some renovation and TLC. The walls are all scuffed and marked, carpets worn and generally looking its age. For the money we paid, it was value for money. Had it been completely done up, fresh and new looking you would probably pay double the price.

How others we able to come in to watch the “game” and stuff, there’s local pubs for that, not a hotel, where couples are together and even families are together what about if they wanted to use the bar facilities and sit down.
GBGBThe pool was nice, except for a screaming child. The lady on reception when we arrived was nice, however blonde lady working later not so much so. Breakfast was great. Parking included was nice.
A little tired in the decoration.
