Yamamoto Ryokan

An authentic older style family run ryokan. Exceptional Japanese breakfast in a private setting. Very helpful and courteous staff. Very nice onsen bathroom with big pool. A pleasure to stay here compared to crowded modern hotels.

I struggled to relax sitting on the floor in the room and found the stairs challenging as I’ve had hip replacement.

I stayed with my two brothers in the quadruple room; it was a great space and we all fit very well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and the location is perfect. I will definitely stay here again. The futon was comfortable to sleep on! Congratulations to all the staff for their excellent work

Świetna lokalizacja obiektu, praktycznie do większości miejsc można bezproblemowo dotrzeć na piechotę. Bardzo miła obsługa, można było dogadać się w języku angielskim. Świetne śniadania, chociaż nie każdemu mogą pasować, ponieważ są w japońskim stylu. Na plus to dostęp do onsenu.

Godziny użytkowania łazienki: 19-22. Jeśli ktoś planuje zostać dłużej na mieście to może mieć problem. Na minus też stan lodóweczki w pokoju, która niestety była od środka pokryta w niektórych miejscach prawdopodobnie pleśnią.

Mycket vänlig och hjälpsam personal som mötte oss med te och information om Kyōto vid ankomst. Tillmötesgående och hjälpsam i olika frågor vi hade. Läget var mycket bra med gångavstånd till många sevärdheter och tempel. Kändes autentiskt!

We had absolutely fantastic experience in this Ryokan. The breakfast was delicious and served in an aesthetically pleasing traditional Japanese way. The staff that greeted us was super polite and helpful and ready to answer all our questions. We wish we could stay longer!
