Portara Seaside Luxury Suites

Walking distance to the ferry port, Main Street and old town. Clean and comfortable stay, would recommend to anyone visiting Naxos.

La camera è meravigliosa, ha una vista impagabile. Svegliarsi al mattino e fare colazione col il mare quasi in stanza non ha prezzo. La camera è modernissima, c’è uno screen touch per regolare luci, la tv, aria condizionata, fanstastico! La struttura è posizionata in un vicoletto a due passi da porto e dai ristoranti e locali del centro, e ha una discesa diretta sulla spiaggia. A gestire e ad occuparsi delle pulizie c’è una signora gentilissima che ci ha accolte spiegandoci tutte le informazioni relative a spiagge, ristoranti, eccetera. Appena fuori dall’albergo poi c’è un bar che ogni mattina sforna cornetti buonissimi, ma c’è anche la possibilità di farsi portare la colazione in camera. Il momento migliore è al tramonto, dato che dalla nostra stanza si vedeva perfettamente la porta di Naxos, fantastico! Consiglierei assolutamente a chiunque di soggiornare qui se si trova a passare sull’isola

Our stay at Portara Suites was fantastic! The host was amazing, keeping in touch with us about arrival times and providing clear, easy instructions for the meeting point. We only stayed one night in a City view before moving into the sea-facing suite for the rest of our trip, and the whole transition was seamless – thank you for making it so smooth. The suites themselves are beautiful, and the highlight has to be the outdoor hot tub – the perfect spot to relax, watch the sea, and let the world go by. The location couldn’t be better, with everything right on your doorstep – from fantastic restaurants and bars to the Temple of Apollo.

Access to the decking area in the suites we stayed in isn’t ideally would be so much better if you could exit from the back!

TODO. Fue increíble, era como un sueño. Jenine nos recogió en el puerto y nos llevó hasta el hotel, allí nos explicó todo sobre Naxos, es una persona muy muy muy amable y atenta. La habitación era preciosa, tal y como se muestra en las imágenes, incluso me atrevería a decir que mejor, ya que es mucho más grande que en las fotos. Y súper moderna, todo estaba mecanizado. También añadir que nos dejaron una botella de vino en la nevera y nos pareció un gesto maravilloso. La ubicación no puede ser más excelente, porque está en pleno centro de Naxos y a la vez pegada al mar. Sin duda alguna si volviera a Naxos volvería a repetir aquí, porque solo estuvimos una noche y se nos hizo muy corto.

El agua del jacuzzi no conseguimos ponerla a mas temperatura y a mi parecer estaba un poco fría.

The property is close to the port which was ideal as we arrived by ferry. We were met by Janine who manages the property and was excellent. The property was spotless and comfortable, as well as being close to the old town.

Only minor point is the water in the tub wasn’t too hot.

The property is well located for the port and town centre. You can opt for a room with a sea view on the Portara which is really nice.

We previously stayed her here in 2021, so this was our second time. We loved it so much the first time that we had my sister and my cousin stay in adjacent rooms when we came back to Naxos for a wedding. Janine the lady who manages the units was still there and is always around to be helpful. The location is obviously unbeatable as you are literally a one minute walk from the port and the main oceanfront strip of restaurants but far enough away to have some privacy. The views to the ocean and Portara are amazing.

That being said, there are a few drawbacks. The hot tub was lukewarm at best even in the heat of August and the settings to turn the temperature up really don't work. My sister had issues with the shutters on her door not working properly which made it quite cumbersome to get in and out of her room. There also isn't much in the way of practical storage. These are minor drawbacks given the location and I'd still recommend staying here, but since the price had roughly doubled since our last stay these things were a bit harder to overlook.
