Cozy Lisbon Graça

The property is clean and cozy. Public transportation is nearby. Grocery stores is few meters away. It's very convenient and quiet community. Only thing not perfect is the electric system - it was shut down few times every night when I was stay.

There were two big issue with this property. First the room did not get enough electricity. First day it was chilly so we decided to use an air condition to warm up the room. First day it was OK, we did not have problem. On the second day, the other guests came into the room next door. We had a black out and we had to call the emergency number to get the electricity back. I guess they divided original room to two rooms to make for hotel rooms and use the same line to supply the two rooms. It was not so difficult to get the power back. Just use two electric power panels and it took me 5 minutes to get the power back. I guess the black out happened twice after using the shower. We guess the power to heat up the water has a conflict with other use, like air conditioner. The second problem is the transportation service they arranged to bring us to the airport. Any car did not not come to the hotel. We waited for ten minutes but nobody came to pick us up and we called their emergency number but nobody answer the phone. So we ended up using uber.

Great stay. Cleanliness great. No complaints. Will look into this property, on my next vist to lisbon.

Loved to sit in the garden - lots of birdsong and ripening oranges and lemons on fruit trees. Light apartment. Well equipped kitchen with working appliances and great welcome box. Good shower in bathroom

Shower had hot water. Location of the property in Lisbon. Check-in was easy.

I am comparing this property to the previous 7 we stayed in during our 3-week stay in Portugal. Of all the properties, this place seemed on the tired side - I sent an email the first night with several of the things that were lacking or needed attention (the only time I did this in 3 weeks). The faucet in the kitchen was in immediate need of repair; one used kitchen sponge (gross) and a single dish towel - where handwashing dishes was necessary as the plates were too big for the dishwasher and only three sets of utensils. I didn't mind hand washing dishes, but with one towel and no dish rack that was a challenge. No cutting board either. Broken roller shade in the kitchen. Refrigerator struggled to cool due to several inches of ice in freezer. Just seemed to lack the care the other properties we stayed were able to achieve. After an exchange of texts, more dish towels and new sponge delivered the following morning, an attempt was made to defrost (sort of) the fridge and the faucet was tightened but not really fixed. While folks were very responsive (thank you), there was a big gap for what you got for your money compared to the other places we stayed at.

Great overall

Nothing. The moment we opened the door the whole place has a look of being unkempt. The stairs are dangerous trying to pull luggage up them for 70 year Olds. The room itself had such foul odor we only stayed one night and only because we arrived late. The kitchen table was covered in caked on food and food crumbs. The patio door would not close. We contacted the management without any satisfaction. Also booking.com did not help at all. We have traveled all over the world and this is the worst experience we have ever had. Stay far away from this place.

Lovely host, very good spot and nice walk to São Jorge Castle. The back garden is also a plus :)
