RockyPop Marseille hôtel

This is a fantastic property in a great location. Rooms clean, well stocked with everything you need for basic cooking needs, a small dishwasher with tabs provided, washing up liquid and tea towels as well as comfortable beds and very good air conditioning which we needed in the very hot weather. There is a very large wardrobe so you can put the cases in there out of the way as well as ample hanging space. The staff are very helpful and encourage you to help yourself to the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as answering any questions with a smile. There are complimentary toiletries although we took out own but they did look like they were good quality. We used the laundry facilities which were a little pricey but everything was included. There are choices of supermarkets and boulangeries in very close proximity as well as specialist shops on the doorstep. With the large market in the main road literally 2 minutes walk from the property and 5 minutes walk to the metro and tram (and we're not particularly fit or fast walkers) you really do have it all. A last tip, we found eating locally quite expensive and were surprised to find that it was a lot cheaper to eat out in the port area - also a lot prettier.

We have been touring around Europe for 7 weeks and arrange our hotels, generally through trip advisor and hotels.com. up to now, everything has been pretty good. At this hotel we were very disappointed. Our apartment was very spacious and clean, but communication with manager, Chal, proved to be unhelpful. We had an issue with bath as plug broken and because it was a weekend, can't be fixed. He suggested I just make a comment here, so I have. Air conditioning is inadequate, but DO NOT ACCEPT a room on the reception level. It is dirty and walls & door chipped and needs urgent attention. Manager agreed and said"make a comment"!

Whenever someone would be outside in the hallway you could hear everything they said and whenever they closed the door you could hear the shutting of the door. Rooms are equipped with fridge and dishwasher so that's nice. Bed is okay too. Balcony is good. Thank you! Internet worked well.

The room/apartment set-up was convenient for multiple travelers. The hotel is about 3 blocks from the Castellane metro stop, a major terminal on the Marseille system. It is in an area where you must walk several blocks to find a restaurant, but there is a wonderful bakery across the street.

Not a single Elevator worked for the whole weekend during my stay on the 3rd floor. Bed is very comfortable, internet fast, and apartment utensils adequate.

Good fir a family stay , it has all the facilities. Wasn’t a Hotel ,it was a apartment so should list in Apartment

Not quite in a central area but close to Castellane metro stop. Ok property for short term or long term stay. Has microwave or kitchen to cook food.

The rooms are not overly private. We were on the bottom floor and can hear people above scraping the chairs on the floor and the doors to all rooms don’t allow you to close them quietly. Staff were awesome and our room set up with stove top, fridge and kitchen items were great. Really nice to have a bath that fills up quickly.

Neat, room amenities were superb. Large room with relaxing ambience. Very courteous and helpful staff in front office.
