Handy for town

Excellent location. Good sized room. Lovely comfy bed. Powerful shower. They give you full list of places for breakfast.

Bit of pub noise but we expected that and they supplied earplugs.

The bed was comfortable and rooms location was above the pub which was very cool.

Music from the bar was still playing loudly at 3am in the morning. When mentioned the next day no apology or explanation was given, only told it would finish at 1 that night.

The noise

The room was very nice and clean, location was excellent too.

I was expecting a bit of noise from the bar downstairs until closing time at midnight, however there was loud music and a lot of people chatting, singing etc. The music went on until 05:30am, I could still hear people talking in the bar until 6am. I had to get up for work at 6am, this was on a Thursday night.

Very friendly greeting from the staff and some of the customers when we arrived in the pub. Shown to our room by a very pleasant gentlemen who explained everything perfectly They have clearly recently spent a lot of money refurbishing the bedrooms. Lovely wooden doors and modern bathroom suites Great view of Selby Abbey from the window Public car park right outside the pub, we could see the car from our room

A very minor suggestion for improvement would be some hand soap in the bathroom, I found some shower gel in the shower so I used that. But other than that, it was fabulous, perfect for our needs

Convenience

Loud while the bar was open. Smoking was outside but drifted up to the rooms.
