Everything Formal Demand for Refund – Uninhabitable Room Conditions To Whom It May Concern, This letter serves as a formal demand for a refund regarding my stay at Red Roof Plus – Hammond, Louisiana, for which I paid approximately $320 for multiple nights. The room and overall stay were materially deficient, unsanitary, and uninhabitable, constituting a failure to provide the accommodations that were advertised and paid for. The following conditions occurred during my stay: No housekeeping services were provided at any time Towels were never replaced or changed The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite being advertised as non-smoking Bed sheets were visibly dirty and appeared not to have been properly laundered Excessive and constant noise from the neighboring room (six children crying throughout the night) made rest impossible These conditions violate basic hotel industry standards, reasonable expectations of habitability, and consumer protection laws governing the provision of paid lodging. The room was not fit for occupancy, and I would not have remained had alternative lodging been available at the time. By charging for a room that was unsanitary and not properly maintained, Red Roof Plus failed to deliver the service contracted for. This constitutes misrepresentation of services and breach of implied warranty of habitability. I am formally demanding a full refund of $320. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will pursue all available remedies, including but not limited to: A formal chargeback and dispute with my financial institution Submission of documentation and complaints to corporate management and consumer protection agencies Providing evidence and sworn statements regarding the conditions of the room This letter serves as written notice and an opportunity to resolve this matter without further escalation. Great location. Very access to the interstate. The staff was very friendly.

The original room I booked was very musty when I walked in. There was hair still on the floor next to the shower. And the chair that was in the room looked like they picked it up off the side of the road. It was so worn and tattered. I left the review to the text I got shortly after check in. Management did call me right away. They did upgrade me and moved me to another room. Everything was much better except for the chair. It was the same style chair, not quite as tattered but very well needs to be replaced.
