Takashima Jinya

This place was incredible! It’s so spacious and gorgeously decorated. Our hostess was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast she made for us at her local restaurant was absolutely delicious!! We would 100% stay here again.

This is a friendly/ cleanly/ traditional hotel. Hotel boss and employees are all kindness to give any help for you. The hotel equipments are all fine and working.

Our stay at this charming bed and breakfast was nothing short of amazing! The accommodations were cozy, clean, and exactly as described. Yes, the stairs are steep, so be careful. The food was an absolute highlight! Every meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, giving us an authentic taste of local flavors. One of the best surprises was the free rental bikes! They were such a treat and allowed us to explore the area.

The stairs going up to the second floor is narrow but not a problem for us since we don't have big luggage. During winter, going to the toilet is a little inconvenient since it is outside the main house at the backyard. In the summer this place will be wonderful as it has a nice backyard.

The house was huge, with 3 rooms and a living room all for ourselves, it was all clean and very comfy. The fact that there are bycicles rent free was also amazing, the owner gave us 2 electric bikes for a ride to the shrine along the shore. also got cupons for a lunch set at the family's "blue taco" restaurant which was very good! Laundry is also free to use.

Takashima is a pretty small town, pretty much rural in comparison to the more famous cities in Japan, but I really appreciated how quiet it was. Takashima Jinya enhances that experience by offering a property in an old-style inn, but with modern amenities. The place was well kept. Communication with the owners was easy enough. Convenience store is located not too far away with some restaurants as well.

The bathroom and sink area were located in a different area of the property, where you have to take a (very) short walk to get to - think walking through your to get to your detached garage. Let's just say the cold weather didn't help. BUT, even with that said, I think Takashima Jinya is worth staying at if you're interested in the local sights and are looking to get away from the city.

The property was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Very spacious, comfy beds and just had a really nice feel about it. We enjoyed our short stay very much.

Nothing negative . The front door rattling every time a car passed was a bit disconcerting at first.

This property was absolutely amazing. It felt like a traditional Japanese home. The property featured 2 bedrooms and 3 family rooms for a total for 5 rooms. There was so much room. The property was very clean. It also had one of the best bathtubs i have ever used. i am 6'2" and it was the first bathtub i could fit in. Plus it had a setting where you could keep the water at a constant temperature. It also had modern washing machine and dryer.

We really enjoyed our stay here, there wasn't anything we really didn't like to be honest. The toilet and bathroom was a bit far from the rest of the unit but it was clearly mentioned in the descriptions. The stairs in the property are pretty steep and narrow but still ok.
