Villa del Palmar Beach Resort Cabo San Lucas

From the start we had nothing but issues with property. Nothing matched what we booked with Expedia. And from the start we could not reach Expedia for help. We were nickeled and dimmed to no end. They dont even have heat in the rooms. The beds are so bad we had to ask for 3 blankets to soften them up in order to sleep. Plus an extra to stay warm while sleeping as they have the heat option turned off. Front desk staff is unhelpful. All they care about is selling memberships. If you are not interested in one. You are dead to them. Now that we have landed back home. We have already contested the charges we were forced to pay. Oh ya their computer systems have been down starting in December. So they have no idea of charges during your stay. Lastly they made us give them a card for incidental charges, which we never used. Upon check out they would not remove the hold until we agreed to pay them some government tax due at check out. And now home that is being disputed. Bottom line buyer beware of this place. We will never book through Expedia again for a trip like this. We will be taking our case up with them. And legal action if this mess is not corrected.

There was no internet device at the facility. We were given a QR code to get internet which only worked in parts of our room. We had clanging noises from vents and/ir exterior of the room for 3 nights. Front desk wasn’t very empathetic or helpful when we tried to address both issues. Food at the property was great! We were told paddle boards were available however not until 10 (the baubles choppy as early morning ends - so not super concussive) and no one was available the Sunday we wanted to talks them….

Good for kids as there were daily activities. Service can be slow especially by the pool

Came back to Villa del Palmar after 8 years. The hotel still great, the staff is so friendly and amazing. The location is so good.

There was no internet. Mobile signals were also very weak Very limited food choices Swimming pool gets closed at 8:00 pm , there are no sufficient lights in the pool for the evening time. The room kit doesn’t include Tea bags, one tea bag cost $5 USD

If you don’t buy all inclusive, the restaurants are extremely pricey, hidden fees, all over the place, with my booking I had free dinner for two for one day I was charged $80 for service fee which we paid and after we finish dinner, they wanted to charge us more money for service fee. We also purchased discount activities to do but when we got to the place to where our activities were taking place, they charge us more money for hitting fees of course it just felt like it was a rip off.

An average hotel, walkable to Marina, about 20 minutes, if walking is no issue. Liked the rooms with a kitchen since we did not get all inclusive. Nice gym and spa services. Did not care much for the pool area, kind of small, and the beach area was ok but the amount of souvenir/excursion sellers was just too much! We did not like the construction and the biggest issue, wifi was down the ENTIRE stay!!!! I guess you get what you paid for….

I was there for 1 week and there was NO WIFI service at the resort the ENTIRE time I was there. The Wifi had been 5 days prior to our arrival and was still down when we left the resort. It was very noisy at night and you could hear the upstairs residents pulling furniture or something very loud around constantly from 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM. The walls/ceilings are VERY thin at this resort. I most likely will NEVER stay at this resort again.

No WiFi wife needs internet to work, could not charge anything to room needed cash or card with you at all times, construction outside, only one elevator working, service took really long time even with small crowds, upon leaving they wanted to charge extra resort fees that were not disclosed upon arrival. Very unhappy will never stay at any villa del palmar.

Great location, short walk into town. Lots of dining options at the resort. Food is great. Love the happy hour each day.
