Whortleberry Studio B & B

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Whortleberry Studio B&B. Helen and Shaun are lovely hosts, very welcoming and have lots of local knowledge. The studio is bright, very clean, quiet, and although steps from High Street very secluded with it's own garden. It has tea making facilities, with fresh milk provided daily. The parking space was very much appreciated. Breakfast was served in the tea rooms, it was delicious and filling, with a good choice, and the shortbread is amazing. Great find in a lovely area, would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Brilliant stay, Helen and Shaun were excellent hosts. Studio with a private garden proved excellent for the dog with plenty of room for us all. Excellent breakfast choice every morning, with Shaun the king of poached eggs, and a selection of jams and marmalade’s sold by the tearoom. Helen and Shaun are a wealth of local knowledge with great dog walks or pubs to eat at. The garden is nice and secure so the dog can just come and go with no fear of being able to get out.

We had a great stay at the studio, Helen and Shaun were great hosts providing a lovely place to say, great breakfasts along with friendly service. Location is great and we were given plenty of suggestions of activities and things to do in the local area!

Everything you need for a few days away .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were well looked after by Helen & Shaun, a lovely couple. Told about ideal walks around with the dogs, especially from Porlock to the beach & on to Porlock Weir & back home through the woods ! Had a lovely breakfast each morning in the Tea Room, another day had lunch which was enjoyable. Will be visiting again.

Great location, clean and well equipped.

Warm welcome from hosts Helen and Shaun. The studio was spotlessly clean and in a convenient location just off the Main Street in beautiful Porlock. There was a small garden and courtyard for our dog to explore and for us to enjoy alfresco wine. Breakfast was served in our hosts’ nearby tearoom and we were given plenty of tips and ideas about where to visit and what to see - including the country’s tallest trees near picturesque Dunster.

Traditional English cooked breakfasts were great but perhaps a little more variety such as granola and berries for vegetarians/vegans would be worth considering. And we would have appreciated a small fridge in the studio itself.
