They had actual breakfast and it was okay. Room appeared clean enough for an older appearing hotel.

The fact that I wasn’t aware that I had to leave $100 deposit on arrival. This is usually shown when booking the reservation, giving you the option to no longer book, and it was not. The young guy who checked me in, didn’t care that this was news to me, and was extremely nonchalant, and kept trying to cut me off stating this was hotel policy, and you have to actually go to the fine printed policy to know this. Every other hotel tells you upfront about a deposit, and it is shown immediately in the total amount of the stay. Meanwhile, the non person of color, who checked in ahead of me was given a total amount for two nights, without any mention of a deposit. I’ll just leave this here.
