Marriott's Timber Lodge

This hotel does not have a restaurant. They have this fire/ice which is like mongolian bbq concept. The check in process was horrendous and 10/10 would not go back again.

On arrival, it was going to take at least 30 minutes for them to bring my 80 year mom’s, sister’s, and my luggage to our rooms. So, I carried it all myself. There were long black hairs plastered to my shower walls. I had to ask twice for the shower to be cleaned. They only clean rooms every other day. They didn’t charge my car our first night after I signed up to have it charged. The night before we left, they called me while at dinner to move my car from their charging station. I had valet parked my car. They had driven my car to the charging station and had the keys. I didn’t even know where my car was parked.

It’s the perfect location to enjoy all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. You can walk to many places to eat, shop and ride the gondola. The service is incredible! We enjoyed the large pool and there are four hot tubs! The room are well equipped to heat up food in the microwave and keep snacks in the fridge. Love this hotel!!

As a Marriott vacation Club owner I was extremely disappointed with the property. The rooms are extremely dated. It did not meet the Marriott Vacation club standards. To top it off, Before we left, they required us to strip the sheets and toss the trash, if I wanted to stay at an Airbnb I would have booked it. The only positives were the electronic valet system and the property location.

Everything was just perfect!

Very nice One Bedroom villa with a full kitchen, dining table, nice sitting area, queen sofa sleeper couch, nice pool, fireplace, located in beautiful Heavenly Village near shops, restaurants, and movie theater. Everyone is very nice!!

Paying $35.00 a night for parking. We had two cars so this was $180 for parking fees for three nights. One car only stayed two nights. No other parking on site. The guys that managed the cars “in and out” were great. It was busy and everything was very smooth.
