Comfort Inn & Suites Redwood Country

We had a 2 night stay. Overall the property and location was ok. The path along the Eel River was just across the street and wonderful to walk .. head to the left for dairy farms and beautiful scenery. There are good 2 restaurants and a gas station within walking distance. Breakfast was as expected. The location was close to Ferndale, which was our main reason for our visit. We did have some issues with our room, however. The first thing we noticed upon entry was an awful odor which we determined was coming from the a/c unit. Thankfully we were able to leave the window open the entire time of our stay to combat that. The windows look as if they haven't been washed in years. Most of the outlets in the room didn't work and the ones on the bedside lamp were so wobbly that our phones weren't able to charge. The hair dryer was screwed to the wall in the bathroom and that outlet didn't work as well. We provided the front desk with a maintenance upon departure so hopefully they fix those and other items before they hand the keys to that room to anyone else. We won't stay here again, but it was fine for our short getaway.

There was mold in the room The wifi was difficult to access and keep connected There were ripped curtains The pool area was closed even when I double checked before arrival if it would be accessible during my stay The were full sheets on a queen bed The kitchen areas was in the bathroom There were stains all over the carpets The people above where jumping around all night and when it called the front desk they did not do anything about the jumping around continued until about 12am There was a soap in my room that was from a previous guests they wrote their name on in "Jordan " I don't know why that seemed okay to reuse .but it was not okay cross contamination!

Spot and overall nice room

Clean room and very accommodating for a family of 6 including a 2yr old and 6 yr old. The bed and breakfast was a nice option to have as well.

Beds are hard. Uncomfortable.
