Great location

Hotel is very pricey . Sauna was not working - should have been informed by staff . Maintenance had to fix bath tub plug . Room was only partially cleaned on one day of our stay . Towel bar was very very hot & I burnt my arm on it .

"Mid 70's aged honeymooners received an experience which we shall treasure for the rest of our lives"

10.0

The room with fireplace was superb... The "Champagne" welcome was lovely! Roses on the pillow at bedtime was that "special touch" Pool/Hot tub was great... Desk staff and the concierges were impeccably presented, knowledgeable, courteous and exceedingly polite...Superior by any measure...

Nothing!

"It's a Hard Pass"

4.0

From check-in, I knew we were in for… an experience. We were greeted with all the warmth of a tax audit—no smile, no map, just a vague point and a casual “down the hall.” What they meant was: through a door, outside, into another building, up the stairs, through another door, down a hall, around a corner, down more stairs, another corner, another hallway, and finally—last door on the left. By the time we arrived, I felt like I’d completed an escape room I didn’t sign up for. We mentioned a food allergy to the concierge, thinking it would be noted. Instead, we were told we could go tell the restaurant ourselves. Ah yes, the DIY service package—always a nice unexpected upgrade. The room itself was spacious and initially quite elegant. But then the details started to… detach. Literally—floating headboards, questionable electrical, an empty body wash container, and a charming assortment of crumbs and leftover oranges from previous guests. It left us wondering if “turnover service” meant simply turning off the lights and hoping for the best. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable—so at least we could sleep through the disappointment. Dinner didn’t redeem things. We had pre-booked fine dining, which turned out to be… fine, technically. The steak was so tough my friend practically needed a saw, and my trout was sliced so thin it may have qualified as a garnish. When my friend’s steak fought back harder than expected and I discreetly retired a particularly grizzly bite into my napkin, we hoped for at least a check-in from the server. Instead, our untouched food earned us a cheerful offer of a takeout container—no questions asked. It was our birthday getaway, so naturally we thought, “Maybe a complimentary dessert?” But no—just the sweet memory of unmet expectations. Then came Sunday high tea. Oh. Boy. Now, I’ll admit I’m new to high tea, but my friend is not—and even she was stunned. The presentation was adorable, very Instagram-ready. But the illusion broke when we bit into… cold quiche and cold chicken pot pie. Yes, cold. When I asked, our server casually explained there was no stove in the kitchen. I briefly considered asking how they managed to overcook our hot meals the night before without one, but decided to preserve what little mystery remained. She did kindly suggest we take those items home and reheat them ourselves—because nothing says “luxury experience” like finishing your meal in your own toaster oven. All in all: a maze to find your room, a scavenger hunt for service, and a dining experience that left us longing for… literally anything else. Unfortunately, at this price point, it’s a hard pass.

"A fake 5-star hotel"

2.0

We booked a 3-night stay with a premium suite. We were ushered into a 'suite' with a brick wall for a view. The furniture was ready to be donated to a charity shop. The shower was disgusting. We asked to be moved to a different room. They offered to upgrade us for an additional $50 per night. We relocated to a different hotel. The real Prince of Wales would be embarrassed to have his name associated with this place. May 4, 2026
