Ocean Reef Resort

I liked everything included but the room. The pool was nice.

Firstly, we couldn't check in until nearly 5pm and our fridge food was rotted. Lady at the desk left and didn't tell anyone to call me to check into the room. When she said they would. The waterslide was only opened one day we stayed. The workers refused to even care that about that area of the pool area just the lazy river area. Also in our room the fact that the toilet seat was so lose you could fall in. The room stunk of burnt popcorn upon entering. The second room key was not working at all. Door to enter room did not shut fully nor did it feel secure at night. Someone kept knocking at almost 11pm for no reason at all. We were expecting a full size fridge and we were provided a mini fridge. The mini fridge damaged some of our food as well, it got way too cold.

Room was ready and let us check in early. The mattress was very comfortable.

Furniture in room looked like it was bought at a rummage sale. All should be replaced. Stay was 2 nights and room was never made up. Used same towels for 3 days.

The property was really nice. All of the pools were great

Prices for the Banana Boat poolside was a little high

My fiancé & I were excited about coming to Myrtle Beach for the first time & so we came for Mother's Day weekend & stayed at the Ocean Reef Resort from Sat-Mon. Unfortunately we did not have the best experience. The room we had was Beyond dated. Nothing about it was appealing to the eye, At All. And to make matters worst, we started to see BABY ROACHES in our bathroom!! We seen about a total of 4 at random times during the midnight hours on Sun & Mon. It was such an absolute cringy experience. In all my years I have Never been in a hotel & have seen roaches in my room!!. I was Flabbergasted to say the least. If it wasn't for my fiancé just being more eager about checking out and leaving vs me giving the staff a piece of my mind they definitely would've been hearing from me. *I seem to be unable to attach my videos here* PRO: The beach access and downstairs bar/restaurant was nice.
