Our stay at Banyan Tree Phuket was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The resort itself is stunning—lush tropical surroundings, beautifully designed villas, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true escape. The villas are spacious, private, and impeccably maintained. Having our own pool was such a luxury and made the experience even more relaxing. Every detail, from the comfortable bedding to the elegant decor, was thoughtfully designed. The dining options were excellent, with a great variety of high-quality food. Breakfast was a highlight each day, offering both international and local options in a beautiful setting. The staff across the resort went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

What I didn’t like about Banyan Tree Phuket: The spa experience, while still high quality, was extremely overpriced this time. We paid around $500 for a couple, which felt unreasonable compared to our last visit 10 years ago when it felt worth it. There are many massage options outside the resort for around $80 that offer great value. Just make sure to choose a clean place with good reviews. Due to the high prices inside the resort (especially spa and extras), it didn’t feel as accessible or affordable as it once did. While the resort is beautiful and peaceful, some of the premium experiences no longer justify the cost compared to alternatives nearby.

We stayed 7 nights for our honeymoon. From the second we arrived to the moment we checked out, it was the most wonderful experience we could have ever asked for. The Serenity Villa was amazing. Clean, well kept and beautifully presented. We organised a special night with an in villa dinning experience with a person chef. The food was amazing and fresh. The chef was lovely, engaging and respectful. Worth the every bit of the price. Every afternoon we had drinks at the swim up bar (happy hour between 4pm and 5pm)- service was great and met some other lovely couples and families. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

Good location, but no private beach

We stayed at Banyan Tree Phuket and had a very disappointing experience overall. This hotel presents itself as a luxury 5-star property, but our stay did not reflect that standard at all. The manager was rude and not helpful when we raised concerns. Our room had bugs, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel at this level and price point. Pool service was also poor, with no towels available, and in general the service throughout the hotel was very slow. The spa experience was especially frustrating. We were charged around 10,000 THB for a massage, yet the treatment felt very unprofessional. They did not properly listen to the issues and pain points we specifically mentioned, and the whole experience felt overpriced and disappointing. Overall, we left feeling very dissatisfied. For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury resort, the service, attention to detail, and guest care were far below expectations. I would not recommend this property based on our experience
