Oakley Court

Absolutely fabulous place to stay .Amazing surroundings so wonderful its right on part of the Thames so lovely to relax in the swinging chairs in the evening watching the boats go by. Loved this place didn’t want to leave.Staff are also excellent…idillic place to stay.

A lovely country house and ex-school converted into a boutique hotel. Grounds and veranda are beautiful and great site on the bank of the river. Friendly staff, generous rooms well appointed with snacks and drinks included. Would happily return.

Really chilled, relaxing hotel. Graciously decorated, beautiful setting....just wished could have been there for longer. It was just a one night stay. Was so close to London though feels like will be back again but this time for more than one night.

Our third time staying here and there have made a number of changes since last time.. All for the better! Impeccable service, wonderful food and fantastic grounds. We will be back (again).

Beautiful hotel in front of the river with beautiful staff

The property is lovely and a great stay for the summer. Checkin could have been a bit slicker- I was advised that I could stay to use the facilities past check out - I had to inform the receptionist that there was an event the following day and that I couldn’t stay past 11am. Valet service is available but I wasn’t told about this- again by the receptionist. They need to work on their dinner menu - if u have travelled to get there you want to be able to eat well once you arrive. Toasters and pizza isn’t really what I expected. They seem to focus all their efforts on private events- I was told I had to leave the premises by 11am once I had booked. It doesn’t lend for a relaxing stay with a rush to use the facilities. I paid nearly £500 for the night- it wasn’t a £500 p/night experience. The gym needs work! Too cluttered disorganised. I went to work out but the space put me off - so I gave up. The spa, gym pool area needs developing to match the rest of the property.

Amazing hotel

Great room with view of river. Crews rowing and great chairs to sit by the Thames. Beautiful building with great rooms for dining and hanging out. Didn't get to use the pool/exercise area but it looked nice.

Found this on Expedia and glad we did. Not only is it an elegant country house right on the Thames in a well manicured 35 acre park, the touches throughout are well done while keeping the historic architecture in focus. Loved the turntables in the public rooms! I could spin Roxy Music and other choices with an after dinner drink by one of the many working fireplaces. Nice amenities in the rooms, too! We had dinner here 2/3 nights and the breakfast buffet we had on departure day was nice as well. Nice staff. The backstory of the hotel being used for the Hammer Studios classic horror films made it all the more appealing! Definitely would stay again and use the health club, pool, and rent a boat! Close to Windsor for shopping and restaurants yet a world away.
