Radisson Hotel Freehold

Check in was fine. Once in the room I had no tv that worked. Still waiting on someone. Thank God for computers. It was freezing in the room. I turned off the air made hot water to drink and it tasted like throw up. The coffee maker needs to be cleaned! Had a hair in the paper cup. Toilet ran all night. Not a fan but Im tired and made the best of it.

Terrible WIFI AWFUL communications If I needed my laptop for business, research or school, forget it!

The hotel room was comfortable. However, the area around the lobby and outside had several transients hanging around and there was open liquor bottles and trash as you walked in the front entranqe. This is not a good look. It made us feel for our security.

We reserved a King Suite with Raddison in Freehold on June 23 with confirmation email of our booking received. 36 hours before we were due to check in, the hotel in Freehold called and and left a voicemail that they had to cancel our reservation due to a “military booking” for the Joint Base. We were attending a wedding and our family and friends had many rooms reserved for that weekend. When they called, they said we could book a room at their “sister” hotel 25 minutes away. When we called back we asked why they didn’t just move the “military booking” to their sister hotel in the first place, since it was closer to the base. They refused to answer and absolutely refused to help and were belligerent and unhelpful. Horrible experience. Side note: we called a friend of ours that, let’s just say is in a very high position at the Joint Base, and they didn’t know of anyone military enlisted staring at this Raddison, and in fact had more local establishment's closer to the base for any listed attending the air show that weekend, Hmmmmm…

Great location for what I needed

Nothing… overpriced and people were smoking weed everywhere. Weed smell through out the hotel, in the hallways, elevators, front desk, outside, anywhere you go there is someone who smells or is actively smoking weed.

For one they called 2 days before I was to arrive and told me my room was given to someone else and I would need to book at another hotel due to a large booking. Even though I had booked 3 months earlier. On top of this we were the only room of our group of family whose room was cancelled, even though we were the first to book. When we questioned them they said there was no resolution other then to move to their sister hotel 20 minutes away. After an email was sent out by the bride of the wedding we were going there for they said they could give us a room and offered to comp the room as well as the brides, however when we went to check in they backtracked and only offered us a 10% discount and comped only the brides room. KEN the manager was less than helpful and actually tried to call the police on the brides father when he calmly questioned the situation. The whole conversation was recorded proving how out of line Ken the so called manager reacted. All of this on top of the ridiculous price, expensive less than mediocre breakfast and continuous smell and use of cannabis throughout the hotel guaranteed that I will NEVER book with this or any of their affiliated hotels again. I travel close to 6 months of every year for work and will avoid them like the plague. Very disappointed by the lack of professionalism with Ken and whoever his so called managers are

Breakfast and dinner only on the weekend.

Desk staff was friendly, room was clean, housekeeping was great.

The hotel restaurant was never open. The hours were posted, but was closed most of the time. The lady that ran the restaurant was rude, unhelpful and unfriendly. She came and went as she pleased and didn’t keep the restaurant or bar open at posted times.

Very clean and comfortable.
