Drei Könige Dom Hotel

I already stayed here 2 years ago. And I came back. And I will come back again. Why? This is not the 4 Seasons, but the simple rooms have everything one needs for a very decent price. The breakfast is fabulous. And the location so very close to Cologne Cathedral and to Cologne Central Station can't be beat. Add to that the enfant terrible of the hotel, the owner or manager, whose constant educated banter provides ample entertainment: Why would I stay anywhere else ?

Last stayed here 3 years ago and, to answer other negative reviews, you get what you pay for. I have only 1 criticism, for this trip, and that was the fact that the lift wasn't working and the stairs are fairly steep. My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was quite sufficient. I make this trip every year at this time and have no reason to change. The cost and the location are adequate for my purposes. The previous 2 years I was unable to get a room due to it being fully booked so that speaks for its popularity.

Stayed att Drei Konig am dom for two nights in july 2016 during the Amphi festival saturday to monday. hotel was worn down but that I can take. However there were no fans in the rooms and they had made my bed with sheets that were too small and did not cover the entire bed. I told this to twopeople in the staff on two different occasions but nothing got done, and on the sunday they told me they had no laundry service. By then they had known of the problem since saturday morning. Also the milk and dairy on the already somewhat poorly stocked breakfast buffet is not chilled in a close to 30 degree celsius summer heat. Your cereal has to be eaten luke warm. Staff speaks very poor english.

The staff are the true highlight of the hotel, they cant do enough for you, very friendly and offer lots of helpful advice. Rooms are quite dated and very basic but clean and we slept well. No problems with train noise but one of our shutters was non existent and the curtains very light weight so darkening the room might be a problem for some. Bathroom was small but everything worked well and was clean. Breakfast was quite good and more than enough. Loved the cheeses and German breads. The hotel has renovations happening but they did not cause us any issues. I would stay again as the location, cleanliness, staff and cost outwayed any minor issues. Not a hotel for someone looking for luxury.

Hotel is old and in bad shape. Noisy, both from the outside (overlooking the train tracks) and inside (you share the life of all your neighbours). Broken toilet seat. Yet clean and with good breakfast, but that's not enough to make a good night.

Nice basic hotel near the station. The hotel is dated and the rooms are extremely modest. Anyone booking here shouldn't expect luxury. The main advantage is location. It is near the station on a small side street. I felt completely safe walking to the hotel at night. It is almost directly across the street from the Hilton. My room faced the rail tracks but the windows did an excellent job of keeping the room quiet. The room was just okay but the location was excellent. There is breakfast which is also just okay.

Small rooms in quite bad conditions. My was close to the elevator and I woke up every time someone took a ride in the elevator. But the hotel was situatded in the very centre of the city just a few hundred meters from the dome.

ケルン中央駅から徒歩5分、大聖堂からも約7分と利便性を重視する方にオススメです。朝食も大変楽しめました。 多少作りが古く、何となく不安でしたが、ドイツの田舎にありそうなホテルをイメージして泊まればその期待を裏切る事はありません。

This hotel was reasonably close to the train station, the Dom and nearby Christmas markets. The breakfast fare did the trick for us although not really anything to write home about. WiFi access was important to us and it seemed to work well for our various devices including Skype and other sites like YouTube. We had explicitly reserved a room with two king beds. When we arrived we were informed that we'd be staying in a room with the standard German arrangement for 4 people. Even after insisting that we were expecting two king beds, the front desk clerk informed us that there would be no change. Our room turned out to be a double size bed, a cot and another single bed. It all made the room quite crowded but we managed okay.

This hotel met our needs as far as a place to sleep and had a good breakfast. Location was very close to train and cologne Dom. The hotel room and beds were very dated and could use a good coat of paint. If we were staying for more than 1 night, we would not stay here.
