Polite and helpful host. Carried heavy suitcase up several flights of stairs.

As soon as I stepped into the room I was given a long narrative of how the TV in my room did not work, how the the bedside lights did not work, how the electric shower did not work. I went to do work, but struggled because the light in the room was sp dim, and the bedside lights did not work. When I arrived there was one sheet of toilet paper on the roll and the hand wash was almost completely finished, but it had not occurred to the owner/host to replace them. The towel rail in the toilet did not work. The shower did not always heat up even when the heating was on. The bathroom door did not shut, and there was a sewer-like smell coming from the toilet bowl, even though it looked clean. The room was freezing in November. I did not leave the room for several days trying to get my work done, but ended up with the flu, which I still have, with a fever, dizziness, persistent cough, due to the fact that my room was freezing for most of the day. I had to use the shower rug that was provided, throw it over the toilet door and then try and pull it shut, to try and seal the large gap that the un-closeable door left, so that I could reduce the cold draft coming into the room and the stench from the toilet bowl. The drawers had debris/hairs in them, which I had to clean myself. The hotel leaflet says that they appreciate how much we like a lie in, but I was forced to get up early every morning, otherwise I would have had no hot water for the shower. The shower for the very limited time of day it could be used, was either too hot or freezing cold, there was no in between. I was there for two weeks. There is no excuse to have had so many things broken in a room, and to not replenish empty toilet rolls and hand wash when you know that a guest will be arriving. It shows a lack of regard for the guest's comfort.

Robert is a very professional host. Time was taken to make sure I was aware of how the Fob entry system works to avoid any mishaps. The location of the property is very good for anyone wishing to be close to the waterfront.The price was also very reasonable. Robert was very organised to provide information on local taxi and local places to eat. I was made to feel very welcome and I would recommend anyone to stay here while in Blackpool.

The property was very well looked after and has a lot of character. The only minor thing would be to replace the carpet in my room as it has seen better days.

I was made to feel very comfortable right from the actual start by the actual owner Robert who his a really Top guy and his always around if ever seriously needed has he runs the hotel all by himself and he will seriously do anything possible to help you if needed and I seriously wish this guy Robert all the very very best in actual life has you won't find a much better host that Robert apart from that Robert helped me inside and up the actual stairs 1 night has I twisted my ankle whilst travelling back to Blackpool from Preston and I could barely stand up but Robert went out of his way to make sure that I got inside the actual building and up the stairs with his actual help and also into my room so cannot thank him anymore for making sure that I was OK once in my actual room but I highly recommend this place has although it's a small hotel with only 7 rooms you it's very well run by Robert on his actual own and you also have access to shelves of books to read and other amenities around the actual building so I thoroughly recommend this actual hotel has you don't find many actual hotel owners or staff around 24/7 in other hotels so a big mega thank you Robert once again for having me and all the very very best and take care seriously always Robert Pal.......

My only 1 actual gripe his actually about the actual location has although you can get a tram just around the corner over the road into town I always get taxis and it was costing me quite a fair amount of money to Blackpool North train station and back again on a night and at night the taxi drivers seriously always charge you a whole lot more but I cannot really complain overall has I actually got a really good cheap deal for my fortnight's stay here so it wasn't has if I was actually losing out with anything overall but the actual location doesn't take away anything from my fortnight's stay has like I said Robert made me feel very very welcome right from the actual beginning and I enjoyed my actual stay there has it was very comfortable and very good value for money for what I actually paid overall to stay here so well highly recommended with a really Top Guy and owner Robert.......
