Hotel Niederrad - Self Check In

Room is good and clean, but breakfast is too simple.

Niederrad hotel was our choice when prices of Frankfurt hotels went up due to cars fair. We were very satiasfied with the location. Service infront of Frankfurt main train station (2 stops with tram 16 or 21 and then change to no. 15 get off at Odfnwald-str. just 4 m. away from hotel's door). Great advantage when it's raining. (got a trafic map in Frankfurt Tourist Information) No. 15 runs till 1.00 a.m. but once the windows are closed and A.C. is on you can hardly notice the tram going on. Some vibrations every 20 min. at night, but no bother when sleep. The room itself is very clean although the decoration is old. Breakfast is good includes cold cut meats, y. cheese, cottage cheese , vegetables, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, bread, cakes, juice, hard boiled eggs, local salads, hot drinks etc. We slept good although the mattress is an old spring box . Shower runs great but if you do not carefully spread the curtain correclly you will end up with too much water outside since it is located in a low bathtub. A.C. was stuck on 21 c. but was comfortable to sleep with. Front desk people are very friendly and gave us an excellent recomandation for the Partenon restaurant along the 15 tram route for dinner- better have there a reservation in advance. Wi-Fi works fine and there is only 1 English channel on T.V.

The hotel is located not so far from the international airport in a area of many companies offices. We stayed there because missed a flight aand arrive late night. The hotel is simple, confortable and clean. Good breakfast and friendly people. Wi-fi free and shuttle service to the airport. There are 3 small supermarkets one block distance. 10 minutes walk to metro station and 15 mintes by metro to the central train station of Frankfurt downtown. No restaurants in the neighborhood.

We arrived a day after our booking and staff were extremely friendly, allowing us to stay with no penalty for the wrong date! (Might be different during peak period). Our room was with a recently renovated beautiful bathroom however some other rooms had old bathrooms which weren't so nice. There is free wifi in all rooms but also a computer in the lobby with internet which is available for guests to use. The buffet breakfast was good (included in the room price). You can walk down to the river and into town along the river, a lovely walk, or there is a street tram directly outside. There is car parking at the back of the hotel. Altogether we had a great experience!

small rooms, in need of renovation. although it is located in Frankfurt there is not much to do in the evening near the hotel. It takes 20-30 minutes to go to downtown with public transport. No Garage, just a small parking lot in the backyard of the hotel. staff was not too friendly, service not more than standard. Breakfast wasn`t a highlight as well. You get what you pay for....

By my definition it's not a hotel as it has no restaurant. It's a no-frills bed-and-breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful and provided a map for me to keep with places to eat marked out. There's also a handy sandwich bar/bakery next door. The rooms are clean, but basic. Mine bizarrely had a large empty fridge opposite the bed which was too noisy to be switched on. The fan in the bathroom was also noisy so you avoided switching on the light. The room is otherwise quiet, comfortable so you'll get a good nights sleep. There is wireless internet access in the rooms, but I found it unreliable and slow. Breakfast is a cold buffet, with coffee/tea service. For a basic B+B the Hotel Niederrad does a good job. Keep this in mind and you won't be disappointed.

Booked at short notice for a business trip, this hotel provided basic 3 star service at a very reasonable price when others were charging extortionate rates. My room was on the top floor of the main hotel building. The room had two single beds, an en suite shower room, and basic, slightly dated furniture. It was however, very clean, and the bathroom had a selection of mini toiletries. A small TV gave access to around 20 channels, although the only English language programme was the BBC World channel. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast only. This is typical continental breakfast - a good selection of cold meat, cheese and preserves. All of the staff were pleasant and helpfull. The area around the hotel is very quiet. Don't expect to find any shops open in the evening. Neither are there many options for dinner, although I did find one 500m west of the hotel - Haardtwaldeck - but take your German phrase book with you!

Very good hotel. Close to public transportation, and just fifiteen minutes to the Frankfurter Messe and Roemer. Quiet location. Excellent service. The hotel can be conveniently reached from Airport by S-train. I enjoyed my stay there, and especially very good breakfast.
