Staff at the property were fantastic. Incredibly welcoming, easy process to check in and accommodating with rooms. Location is on the beach and there is a restaurant on-site. Helpful when I needed to leave without staying. Even provided a ride to my next destination!

The room I booked with booking.com was not available and the description was inaccurate. I was offered a few different rooms and finally settle on a room with a sofa. Unfortunately, the mildew and smell were so bad that I had to leave. And the perfume they use to address the smell made it considerably worse. The towels and bedding were thin and old. The property still had garbage about (two weeks post cyclone), the beach area in front was dirty and there was a mattress outside one of the rooms they offered me.

Beautiful gardens, lovely traditional furniture, prime location on the beach but lots of rubbish on the beach directly in front of the guest house. Friendly helpful staff.

Room smelt very musty and damp so we had to burn joss sticks to overcome. Bedding definitely needs replacing didn’t feel freshly laundered and mosquito net needed laundering. Toilet stopcock was broken so kept refilling and spilling water on bathroom floor, repair attempted but didn’t work. No hot water to shower and then when repaired was scalding hit and we needed to call maintenance to turn it off as too dangerous. Unfortunately our stay coincided with staff day out so only temporary staff no catering. We didn’t eat there because of this. We were only there for two nights and didn’t know beforehand.

Staff very helpful. Direct access to beach and local bars. Not far from town centre. Hotel gives free bike loan.

Difficult to say as we didn't stay, just booked the room so that we had somewhere to leave cases, shower, etc - had a flight in the middle of the night. Can't comment on beach activities as we only had a beach walk/went to a bar overlooking the sea, which was lovely.

We stayed two nights and our room was small but adequate with both a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the garden restaurant in its quirky environment is a calm breezy oasis within the sound of breaking waves. It was nice to be able to walk straight onto the beach from the garden. The food was good, especially the amazing muesli and curd breakfast. We also hadn't a lovely sitting area outside our room which was particularly pleasant.

No complaints at all really, although some areas could do with a little refurbishment, for example, some electrical plugs and the toilet seat. However, these things should not put you off visiting The Icebear.

Bodde här en kväll efter cyklonen och personalen gjorde trots översvämningar dagen innan och bortblåsta tak min vistelse riktigt bra. Dessutom var deras trädgård otroligt välskött. Mycket glad över mitt val att bo här.

Finns absolut inget att klaga på.
