Knights Inn Center Valley

We stayed at this motor lodge for one night. Bedding was worn, roach in desk drawer and wallpaper coming off the walls. Old soap in the shower and the room was heavily deodorized. I won't be going back..

I stay at this motel several times a year when I am in Allentown on business. Don't look for Marriot style quality here. The tile is coming loose in many of the bathrooms. The shower curtains are often torn. The bed frames are sometimes broken and off center. This motor lodge is a good choice, however, for people who are seeking a basic motel set up at good motel prices. I highly recommend getting a room inside the motel on the second floor; instead of the outside rooms on the first floor. Hotel service is good. The reception desk is open 24 hours and is always available to serve customer needs. The location is not ideal for people who like tourist attractions and restaurants within walking distance. There is, however, a conveniece store attached to the hotel if you need toiletries or food at late hours of the night. I recommend this motel for people who need nothing more than the basics.

We booked a room at this hotel for 2 weeks and half way through our stay we realized that they had bed bugs. On our third day there my boyfriend noticed some red marks on his arms but we thought it was an allergic reaction. By the fifth day I also noticed red itchy marks on myself. Each day we noticed more of these marks on our bodies. On the eighth day we thought that maybe it was bed bugs so not knowing what they look like I checked it out online. There it tells you to look for shells because the bugs shed and the bugs themselves hid. I had my boyfriend pull up the matress and look around the bed frame and sure enough we found these shells. We packed our things and went to the office for a refund. The woman told us that they dont normally refund week stays and then told us we would have to pay for that night because the cleaning staff was gone for the day so they would not be able to clean and rent the room for that night. I told her she would not be able to rent the room anyway because they needed to take care of the bug problem first. She tried to put us in another room and have us pay her more money after telling us that there were no bugs because they had someone spray all the rooms so although there are shells there are no bugs. This just told me that they knew they had a problem but they were still renting these rooms. She finally argreed to give a refund on the 6 nights we had left on the stay but charged at a higher rate for the one day of the week that we actually stayed. I think she should've given us the full week refund because now we have disinfect our items to make sure we do not take these bugs back into our home and we had to buy anti itch cream for our bodies. I'm post this anywhere I can write a review because I would hate to see someone else have the same experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. We now know to search any room we stay in upon check in.

DON’T STAY HERE! I made reservations for a Non-Smoking room with a Kingsize bed. When we arrived at the hotel the reservation clerk told me that all the Kingsize rooms were gone but she could give me a room with 2 double beds for the same price! We left to visit family without going to the room (BIG mistake). When we arrived back at the hotel at 9:30pm the 1st thing we noticed was that there were no rooms marked as non-smoking. Our room smelled like someone had just put out a cigarette but there were no ashtrays so I guess it was “non- smoking”. The outside wall of our room was located about 35 feet from a busy highway that had truck traffic all night long and it sounded like you were outside listening to them. The bathroom’s wallpaper was peeling and there was mildew in all the cracks. On the dresser was a Monroe Muffler flier that had a wad of chewing gum stuck to it and the bathtub was full of hairs (not ours). They claim to have a “continental breakfast”but this consists 2’ x 2’ table in the entry way with a plate of Friehoffer Donuts and a pot of coffee with no place to sit to eat and it was too small for more than 2 people to stand. WHAT A DUMP!

This hotel is located in a safe suburban neighborhood, nearby the highway. I stayed 4 nights here for an event at Stabler Arena (13-min driving). The room on the second floor was quiet and clean. I went to Fresh Market (1.5 miles, like Whole Foods) to buy ready-made food, and made the most of the in-room microwave and fridge. The new owner takes great pride in this hotel. He and his family are courteous and helpful. I am glad I chose this quiet suburb over Allentown. If you're looking for a bargain room, a safe and clean place to stay, this hotel is a good choice. (The hotel actually looks better itself than the pictures.)

This motel meets my needs: comfortable, quiet, clean and safe. I have stayed here several times, and I'm always delighted by the courteous service I receive. It's not a four-star hotel, but if you're looking for a clean and affordable place to stay, this is well worth it.
