Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort

Restaurant staff were Horrible. After our break fast, we asked the bearer and their manager to add the bill to our room, but they bluntly refused to add the bill to the room and insisted to pay the bill before even leaving the dining hall. Which was not acceptable at a tourist place.

Restaurant staff were a night mare to deal with, which started our day with the bad experience in the town

The staff are lovely, facilities were great, rooms very spacious and clean. Hotel is situated with everything you need within walking distance

The property is built into a hillside so everything ls up steps. Hard work in the heat 😥

Good day to all. I would like to thank all the staff members of this resort for there friendly and helpful nature, you made my stay there a pleasure. And let me definitely compliment you on your breakfast in the morning it was delicious. The resort is situated in a very lovely place near the shops and beach.

I had a huge room with a seaview on almost the top floor of the hotel. The view was a little marred with the building in front of it, but still I could see the ocean, which is what I wanted. The room was clean and comfortable, with good AC. I especially appreciated the fact that they had a permanent key card in the electricity slot for the room, which meant the AC would stay running even if I was out of the room, so the room stayed cool. The restaurant was very good for both one dinner and all the breakfast times. The staff there were very nice, as were the front desk clerks. I enjoyed the pools for short periods of time and there were always plenty of chairs available.

A note for those with mobility issues: There is an elevator to take you from one level up to the top floor levels. However you have to climb about 25 steps and sloping ramps to get to this elevator from the lobby. I really appreciated a porter who carried my bag to my room when I arrived, because this would have been a struggle for me! So every time you go to the restaurant or lobby or the front door, you have to climb up and down these steps, so just be aware.

The Govenders embarked on a family holiday in April 2025. Our trip was so special to us because of the 3 birthdays we celebrated . My mum turned 78 . My sis in law turned 40 and my daughter turned 21 . The Best Western ocean resort Karon beach did not disappoint us at all. The service the cleanliness and the love they shared was second to non. To name a few staff from reception YVE , luna ,Ing , Peter and Robert really made our stay special . This hotel will be mine and my families place to stay in future.

The location was on the hillside - this does mean a bit of a hike with the stairs and would not recommend it if you have difficulty walking - certainly no wheelchair access but a lift is available to most levels - however, the hotel was well appointed with a nice touch with the coffee machine and cool drinks in the lobby (free at any time). The room was very clean with staff changing the bed linen and fresh towels every day. The breakfast had a good selection of food that catered to most tastes - A bit tight on room at breakfast due to the number of people staying and some road noise. The staff throughout the hotel were professional, helpful, and always had a smile. The three pools were clean with plenty of sunbeds always available. Great poolside service and once again the area was clean and very tidy. It was a pleasure to stay here for 7 nights - Fantastic value and thanks for a great stay and the service provided... Excellent stay! I'm really satisfied with this hotel. There are two swimming pools on the property, and the room is very spacious. I was a bit worried about the water quality beforehand, but it turned out to be perfectly fine. There's a 7-Eleven and a motorbike rental shop right next to the hotel. The beach is just a 5–10 minute walk away. There are also massage parlors and street food stalls nearby—everything you need is close by. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us warmly. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. Considering the price, I’m very happy with this choice.

Breakfast could have had more variety.

Really amazing customer service and amenities, super clean and the air con was great. Massive room and new towels and cleaned really well every day. Would 1000% recommend!!

We have had the pleasure to stay 14 days at this wonderful hotel near the beach. Thank you Chef Cezar for amazing and delicious breakfasts and for taking very good care of us and all the guests. You are doing a fantastic job! We also want to say a big thank you to Su, John (with the coffee), June, Kwan, Wan and the whole breakfast crew as well as all the others of the hotel staff! You are so friendly and service minded and we are looking forward to our next visit!
