Grab and go b'fast is OK, nothing to write home about.

My wife (who has high standards) didn't think the room was clean enough.

I'm currently in the Bay area for work and have been staying at the ESA Belmont for a couple of months now. I have been pleased with my stay. The manager and her staff are polite, attentive and responsive to my needs . The hotel is clean and well maintained with big renovated rooms and a kitchenette/essential cookware - a necessity for long-term guests. Occasional noise from some guests with small children, but overall quiet for most part of the day/night.

Good experience! It was even better than some 5* hotels. Highly recommended!

High fee for pets

The room I stayed in seemed clean and the wifi was slow but free and consistent. The front desk staff are particularly helpful with any questions their guests have, especially Kirsten. I was provided with a full kitchen set of cooking and dining furnishings so I could utilize the in-room kitchenette as needed. The provided breakfast is simple but the coffee is nice and strong. Location-wise there is a shopping area within walking distance (across the highway) where there's a Safeway as well as several restaurants serving good food. The AC unit in my room wasn't working but by keeping the windows open and the bathroom fan going (to promote airflow) I was able to stay cool enough.

Convent location

Room has smell from cooking, there were noises at night.

Good for one night only. Staff were not as friendly. Beds were hard. Breakfast was not even that, coffee, tea, and few granola bars are not breakfast! Call it a snack. Not saying here again.
