Didn’t expect the drive to be so far away from airport late at night. Also inconvenient to park far away from lodging with a lot of baggage to carry. The breakfast was very delicious though.
I recently visited Såstaholm with my wife and another couple of good old friends to celebrate an even birthday by treating ourselves to seafood and overnight stay. And we were, all of us, thoroughly satisfied! Starting with a creamy and delicious mussels soup, we were promptly served an impressive double-decker seafood platter (with sauces and bread), not only opulent in size and variety but also, as we pleasantly found, exquisite in quality! It was sheer delight to stuff up to the brim with oyster, lobster, crab, langoustine, and fresh and smoked prawns - despite sincere attempts sadly having to leave some (for the kitchen staff we hope!). We were also most satisfied by the very full breakfast buffet offered in the morning, after a good night's sleep in the tranquil rural settings (slightly facilitated by a few post-dinner glasses in the bar?). Not least, apart from the tangible experiences, we found all staff to be professional and friendly and most attentive, also to special requests to help us celebrate in style. Well done you, we do hope to return!

All rooms have an individual touch modeled after historical or contemporary actors according to their style or time period. Beautifully located near waters, forest and farmhouses with horses this is really picturesque. In the basement there is a costume wardrobe with real costumes from real plays. The food here was excellent, well composed and well thought out.
Having stayed at many of the more well-known upmarket hotels in Stockholm, Såstaholm rates just as highly if not higher. Everything about the stay was wonderful from the surprise upgrade to the considerate dining experience for one. Everything about the stay was luxurious, comfortable and inviting. Couldn't rate it high enough and have recommended to family who come to stay. Would prefer to stay here than more centrally in the future.

We came to Såstaholm to let my 89 year old mother in law visit her brother living in Täby. We had a really good time there. The surroundings in beautiful nature was an extra plus. The hotell staff are all lovely and make you feel welcome. The theme with actors, both from before and from now gives the large place a quirky personal twist. Dinner in the restaurant was nice, breakfast was fantastic with everything you could ever want presented in a tempting way. Beds comfy, as the sheets and duvets, The bathroom slightly outdated. The only minus was that there were only to chargers for our electric car working and we could not charge our car the last night. As we drive a fully electric car this made our trip home a little to much on the "exiting" side.
