Faithlegg Hotel

A lovely relaxing hotel. Great breakfast and dinner. Great walks on the grounds. Golf course looks very good. All round really enjoyed it.

The room is amazing! So spacious and elegant. The ONLY downside is the lack of air conditioning, but this is to be expected in most Irish lodging. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised!

First class hotel in beautiful surroundings with very helpful staff. One of the special features was the table service at breakfast which added a nice touch to our very enjoyable stay. Staff almost always greeted us with a smile wherever we met them. The spring sunshine certainly showed off the house and grounds in the very best light.

Great location and facilities.

The Faithlegg was an unexpected treasure. My wife and I traveled to the Waterford area to visit family and used Hotels.com to find a convenient location, what we received was an outstanding experience. Once you drive on to the estate you take the road through the golf course up to the manor house. You are greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. We were fortunate to book a deluxe room and were escorted to a magnificent room in the old part of the manor house. The room was decorated in a grand style and most comfortable. That evening we dined at the restaurant and had a lovely dinner served by an attentive staff. We retired to the bar area and then enjoyed a wine and an Irish whiskey sitting in a comfortable salon by the fireplace. The next morning we were to play golf on the course, as it was raining we went down to the pro shop to discuss our options with the golf pro. We spent the next 45 minutes speaking about the weather and other topics, he was fantastic. We all decided that it was too rainy to play golf but the conversation with the golf staff was worth the trip in itself. My wife and I felt like we were the lord and lady of the manor house. We were sorry that our plans did not permit a longer stay; however, we are going to find a way to return to the Faithlegg House.

Very good historic hotel a few kilometers outside of busy Waterford. Some renovation work is needed to the outside of the hotel (exterior window frames, landscaping in rear of hotel, etc.) but the interior is just fine. Beautiful golf course location with good rural walking paths to get some fresh air.

Lovely hotel only ten minute walk to city centre. Big room with king size bed and bathroom with rainfall shower. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Bar and restaurant were very good. Only drawback limited onsite parking but there are secure car parks nearby. Would definitely stay again.
