SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

We hosted a company event here and it was absolutely perfect. Paola was so incredible - she was VERY responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a successful event. Daniel was so friendly and wonderful as well. The rooms are modern and clean. The rooftop bar and proximity to the water is the best part of the property. We will be back!

Had a great stay at this property as it was a corporate event and had at least 40 representatives across the country and not one complaint. In the spare time that we had, we just had to walk across the street to get to the beach to enjoy the ocean view! A big shout out to the staff and especially Esteban Sevilla as he made sure everybody was taken care of and made us feel welcomed.

I have a Marriott credit card which allows me a free night, we decided to stay here on a Sunday night. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready, we went to get a bite to eat and came back at 2:45, room still wasn’t ready, finally at 3:30 they checked us in. They upgraded us to a room on the second floor with a balcony and partial ocean view. The room was nice, however they didn’t tell us to put our key in a slot thing that allowed the bathroom lights to turn on, if your key isn’t in the slot, they don’t work. The balcony was small, but had 2 chairs and the road noise was pretty bad, I definitely would not pay extra for it, it was on a Sunday, maybe it would be quieter midweek…..but it would be pretty bad on a summer weekend!

We went to spend a few nights The staff was always helpful and went out of their way. In particular Daniel was extremely helpful. When we asked where the closest store to get beach towels his response was "Let me get you some. Saved us time and money". He was a delight.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay than the one we just had at Springhill Suites San Diego Carlsbad. My wife and I celebrated a milestone anniversary here because we love the proximity to everything in the village. I messaged the hotel a couple days prior to our arrival to ask if we could be put on the upgrade list since we were celebrating our special occasion. Not only did they upgrade us to an ocean view suite, but Sarah L. and Darren went out of their way to create a special arrangement in the room with flowers and tasty treats! Above and beyond anything expected which was nothing. We also loved the rooftop lounge and amazing views it offers. Definitely a gem in the Carlsbad village that we’ll return to often.

I honestly did not have high expectations....and boy was I wrong! I felt that because of the location (very central) that the hotel's upkeep would not be great... WRONG Again. This property is immaculate and modern. The staff is beyond friendly and clearly hard working. Prior to arrival the hotel via the app asked if we needed any assistance and if we were visiting for any special occasions. We were... my husband's birthday and our Anniversary. Upon arrival....we were greeted with a lovely gift bag/ welcome bag.... what a fantastic touch! Did I mention that we were slightly early....and the room was ready, plus an upgrade to a "full on oceanview". Our room was spotless....and simply perfect for our short stay. We travel alot....and spend many nights a year in hotels (over 100 nights a year)... and i was thoroughly impressed by this property. We assumed because the location was so busy, it would have been dated and not kept up well. A true example to not judge a book by its cover. Perfect sunset and sunrise from our room. Warm welcome and great stay. Walkable to so many restaurants, across from the beach and only minutes to the Highway.

Hotel location was excellent, rooms were larger than other hotels, and my whole family was very happy with this hotel choice.
