Having parking within the hotel grounds was a bonus. Don't, however, rely on GPS direction, as the entry is on a bend and not patently obvious. The location is in close proximity to Vilnius' old town sites and easy to access good restaurants and tourist destinations. We don't often criticize hotels, but believe that Mabre Residence could do with a comprehensive audit, viewed from a customer's viewpoint.

The staff could really do with training in terms of customer service. While moderately polite, there was not a welcoming or helpful attitude. The Suite that we had booked was on the top floor, with no lift, and a steep, curving and low headroom stair providing access. If you're tall, or elderly, make sure you book a room on the lower levels, as there is no lift! Being on the top floor, it was located within the roof line, which meant that while it in theory was a large suite, one third of the floor area (and bathroom) was unusable due to limited headroom. The breakfast selection, while good, was a buffet served within a restrictive space, making table selection difficult and not one where you are directed to a table, set with cutlery etc. You had to take your own cutlery after making your breakfast selection. For a 4-star facility, this is unacceptable.
