Great customer attentiveness

My daughter and I stayed at Travellers Beach Resort for four nights in March 2026. I found the hotel very nicely remodeled, the room, bathroom, and balcony were lovely. Our reception during check in was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The location is on the quieter side of the 7 mile beach, I knew that when I booked. Melissa did significant damage to areas of 7 mile, but the area around Travellers was better than expected. Long Bay Beach has disappeared in some areas, access to the walking path is difficult due to erosion. We ate at the One Fusion restaurant next door one evening. We sat on the deck, watching the sunset, it was a wonderful dinner. We ate in the Travellers restaurant for most meals and every meal was delicious. The reason I removed a star was due to the service in the restaurant. This was the only area where the hotel was lacking. I travel to Jamaica a few times a year so I totally understand Island Time. What we experienced was beyond the normal slow service. It happened more than once so it wasn't just a "one off." Once at lunch, we waited more than 2 hours for our meal to be delivered, watching everyone else eat and leave. I finally said, let's go we are missing the sunshine. A half hour later, the waitress called me in from the water and asked me why I left without signing the check. I told her we sat there for two hours waiting and neither the food or the check arrived. Her response, "Well you had a juice." To which I replied, "I know, I left a five under the glass."

Wij hebben niet in Travellers Beach geslapen. We hadden wel geboekt, maar door schade aan een kamer konden we niet gebruik maken van onze reservering. Het hotel heeft een alternatief voor ons geregeld dat prima en naar wens was.

It was right by the beach which I loved. The staff were nice. The room was clean. The area was quiet which I enjoyed. The resort was near the end of the 7 mile beach which allowed us to walk a good amount of it.

There was a night the electricity turned off but it was back on before midnight. The food at the restaurant wasn't that good.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's beautiful entrance. The elegant piano in the lobby and the delightful aroma that greeted us upon entering created a warm and inviting first impression. We received a wonderful welcome from Shaneil, who was professional, attentive, and exceptionally customer-focused. Upon entering our Deluxe Garden View room, we found it spotless, beautifully presented, and exactly as pictured. Throughout our stay, the staff were accommodating, helpful, and always willing to assist. The hotel's location is also ideal, providing convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking excellent service, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere.

A spectacular place, I fell in love, the staff of 10! Very friendly, the room very clean and warm! The place has everything and makes you really feel like you're on vacation!! The food in the restaurant is delicious!! I highly recommend it!

We stayed at Travellers Beach Resort between 11th–21st May 2026 in one of the cottage rooms on a room-only basis. This was our first non all-inclusive trip to Jamaica and it absolutely did not disappoint. The cottage itself was on the smaller side for a couple and had limited storage and hanging space, so it’s probably better suited to shorter stays where you naturally have less luggage. That being said, the location more than made up for it — our cottage was just steps away from both the pool and the stunning Seven Mile Beach. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bedding provided regularly. Impressively, we didn’t see a single bug in the room during our entire 10-night stay, and the rooms have clearly been renovated to a very good standard. The room also included a smart TV, reliable WiFi, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan, which made it very comfortable. We ate breakfast at the resort restaurant most mornings and had dinner there a few evenings too. All of the food and drinks we tried were delicious and very reasonably priced. What really stood out to us was the staff. Everyone was warm, polite, and genuinely friendly, and you could tell they truly enjoyed their jobs. There’s a real sense that care and effort are put into making the resort a special and welcoming place for guests. The resort’s location on Seven Mile Beach is incredible, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water perfect for relaxing all day. There are beach vendors selling fresh fruit, patties, cake, sugar cane, handmade jewellery, hats, and offering activities such as horse riding. Every vendor we encountered was respectful and polite — a simple “no thank you” was always well received. As this was our first boutique hotel experience in Jamaica, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but Travellers exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely be returning and would love to bring more of our family and friends next time. For our next stay, we would likely book a larger room for extra comfort, but overall we had an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

The proximity to the beach and an on-site restaurant. We are returning travelers and will be coming back!!

We had a cottage without a kitchenette but really can't think of anything we didn't like.
