Baymont by Wyndham Midland TX

Hotel was clean. Not many people since hotel was being renovated. Bathtub was gross. It had rubber on bathtub floor that looked like dirty. Towels were old and sink had rust. Needed to be updated and we should have been told on your website. I definitely would not have stayed if I had known. I have stayed here before and it was much nicer. Perhaps we were given a bad room needs by some much needed TLC.

The staff

Absolutely everything about the facility… Terribly kept and ridiculous the price for the physical quality of the entire hotel. Rooms were hot… Carpet coming up… Air Conditioning not working… Lights dark in the room and the hallways… Terrible smell in the air… It was an awful experience and we are very frequent travelers.

Straight off I want to mention the lower rating has nothing to do with the staff! The receptionist was just great and friendly as I would expect at a Hampton Inn. There is a sign "Under Renovation" so perhaps this contributed to the lower quality than what I'm used to having at a Hampton Inn or HHonors facility. It wasn't any one thing but a combination of items that lead me to give a 3 out of 5. First off there was a strong perfume smell in the halls, elevator, and rooms. It's the kind of perfume smell usually used to hide things that are not clean. This didn't give a good impression right off, but we were only staying one night in-route to Fort Bliss Tx. It was very humid in the room and adjusting the thermostat didn't make this better. In the morning there was no ice in the machines, and the breakfast was so-so. I would have paid more to stay in the other Hampton Inn in Midland, Texas if I had known ahead of time. So my recommendation is to stay somewhere else until the renovations are completed. Again, the staff were friendly and nice....I did not leave any complaint with them as I'm not usually the complaining type.

Walked in room 1st thing up seen the bedspread is total wore out. A hole in the window looks like someone throw a rock throw it. The bathroom is awful

The staff was amazing and extremely nice. Pool was great! Beds the most comfy I’ve ever slept in. Very clean!

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I ask for a receipt and the price we had agreed on was it until I got home check my bank account they are charging $50.00 more than the receipt says up on calling them they said the would have the manager call the next day still haven't heard any thing

Hotel did not have my second room that was paid for booked. Had to pay again. Front desk lady was rude and not helpful at all.
