Historic Hotel Corner Brook

The sound on the TV did not work the first night,but managed to get it working 2nd day.The refridgerator kept making the noise of starting up every 5 minutes but never did start up,so I ended up unplugging it for my stay.No coffee maker in room,and closest coffee shop was a kilometer away as were the restaurants.There was a Thai restaurant next door which turned out to be incredibly good and I would recommend it highly to Asian food lovers.My room was across from the front desk and right next door to the public washroom which was frequented by the bar patrons.But overall I enjoyed my stay.

They ask me for additional $50 for small dog and we were forced to leave him in the car for overnight.

The website stated they had a restaurant! They don’t!! It would have been nice to at least have a coffee machine and maybe a microwave.

It had no air conditioning in room, very dated

Property is located in the center of the town. There was no food service. There was no support for people with mobility issues (grab bars in bathrooms). Office staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

The on going joke now with my 80 year in-laws is that we stayed at the crack house in Corner Brook. All the local law income foke hang out there

clean hotel for a stop on your way to gros morne

For an old hotel it was really clean, staff were wonderful, lovely little lounge attached. It could use a bit of sprucing up outside, maybe a bench and some flowers and there is no restaurant attached. Overall it was a great place to stay with large rooms, comfortable beds, and very relaxing.
