Fridge wasn’t cold Plug in bathroom didn’t work

Weeknight stay in November. A bit out of the way from downtown/university, but more economical than that area. Two hotels are connected and difficult to tell where one begins/ends, but don't share the same policies (e.g. we didn't get a free breakfast at Doubletree, which appears to be only option to get room with 2 beds). Stay was fine, but train horns audible throughout night in front facing room. Security was a bit concerning as multiple outside doors ajar throughout night that should have been keycard protected. Was clean.

Reserved under Travelzoo, with breakfast and parking included. Pros: Clean bedding and bathroom Good speed on Wi-Fi Not crowded on Wednesday evening, and a very decent-sized parking lot Cons: Room 303 - terrible view with the gravelled roof of the lobby annex and a huge HVAC equipment in front of the windows at 4 feet from the window. This mechanical piece was humming and rattling all night long No ventilation in the bathroom, it quickly gets full of fog when running the shower, and the stench remains when somebody uses the toilet The hot breakfast was between poor and average. Buffet style, with scrambled eggs strongly tasting of butter, a piece of processed meat, cereals, bread, waffles, coffee, tea etc.

The property is full and beautifully renovated. It was very clean. The staff were amazingly helpful.

While all was renovated, the mattress was old and definitely requires to be changed. Ended up not comfortably sleeping and awake most of the night.
