We started our stay at the Pavilion wing of the Sofitel Winter Palace three days ago as a family of three. The problems started on arrival and compounded throughout our stay. We are checking out tomorrow after a frustrating stay. I am not a picky traveler but the issues are unacceptable. The air conditioning in our room was insufficient. While we were here temperatures exceed 35 degrees Celsius daily. We called to have it addressed. The plumbing was remarkably slow. After flushing, the cistern took approximately ten minutes to refill before the toilet could be used again. For a family of three sharing a bathroom, this created an awkward and frankly unacceptable situation for any hotel, let alone one carrying the Sofitel name. The laundry service ruined a pair of my trousers. They were returned with what appeared to be bleach marks or color transfer from another item. They claimed the marks were there until I showed them the photo of me wearing the trousers blemish free the previous day. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. A minor point in isolation, but part of a pattern. To be fair, the rooms are generously sized, the balcony is pleasant, the location is excellent with Luxor Temple a five-minute walk away, and the swimming pool is a welcome refuge from the heat. But these positives do not make up for basic failures. These are not minor shortcomings. Perhaps we were unlucky. But is that a gamble you want to take during your vacation?

地理環境很好，很熱鬧。 飯店整體和環境真的很棒，特別喜歡在陽台曬太陽，而且從陽台看出去的風景是真的很漂亮。

清潔人員沒有打掃的很乾淨，東西也都沒有擺好

Hadden in jullie exclusieve restaurant 1886 een reservering voor de 2e shift gekregen ( verjaardag ). Er was nog een grote groep van de 1e shift en verder waren we alleen. De groep ging weg en alles om ons heen werd ‘ opgeruimd ‘ ; tafels verschoven etc etc . En alles opnieuw ingedekt . Dit was zo’n teleurstelling . Ook gemeld bij de ‘ hoofd ‘ ober. Ze begrijpen het gewoon niet .
