Yama no Oto

The staff were exceptional — responsive, helpful and genuinely warm throughout our stay. The house was spotless upon arrival and clearly well maintained. The location was fantastic, especially for accessing the slopes and enjoying the surrounding scenery. There were plenty of towels provided for replenishment, which was appreciated for a winter stay. The heated bathroom floors were excellent and made the home very comfortable in the cold. The washer/dryer, fridge and hairdryer all worked very well and were good quality appliances.

The kitchen needs a serious upgrade if the property is meant for live-in use. The pots and pans were worn and not suitable for proper cooking. The kitchen design prioritises aesthetics over functionality — the sink is built above the bins which makes access awkward and impractical. The kettle was extremely small and very slow, not adequate for a group of six. The Dyson vacuum looked nicely mounted for display, but the charger was missing, so it could not be charged. Trash collection should have been done daily or at least mid-stay. After six days it piled up significantly and became inconvenient. Water pressure in the showers could have been much stronger. Also, for a property accommodating six guests, having only one bath tub was limiting — a second bath would significantly improve comfort.

价格高的有点离谱， 每年雪季也在北海道住， 但这个面积的房间跟这个价格，任然觉得有点夸张。

New and clean. Kitchen is bright and nicely equipped.

Rooms in 2 bedroom unit super narrow and small for the money spent. Rooms are both underground, dark with no view, very small. Bathroom also very small. Luggages cant be open in the small space.

The place was beautiful with the surrounding area covered in snow. The interior was very spacious with modern furnishings. We made full use of the washing machine / dryer. There was a fireplace which we wished that we had used but the place was already warm and cosy enough that we did not see the need to.

It was not something that we did not like but just to highlight that you would need your own personal transport if you wish to stay there. We hired a driver to bring us around on most days so it was fine.
